New best 427 NA 8.884
Made several test runs Sunday with new tune. DA was still high at 2640 with the temp. at 87. DA never improved much during the day> started out with a 9.01 at 1:00 pm with DA at 3188 90 degrees. Made a few tune adjustments and went 8.91. Will post time slips and video some time this afternoon. Next two runs 8.892 @ 150.95 and 8.884 @ 151.31. Both sixty foot times 1.227 and 1.232. 1/8 mile 5.657 and 5.656.

Yes we will be at the LSX Shootout. Dont know about weight its only a 427 C5R. We may even try twin throttle bodys for the hell of it,lol. We are coming to have fun and see just how fast this thing will run. Really dont care what class we are in. Just having fun and trying to go fast. Its taken 4 years to build and Morgan and I are just happy it will run down the track with NO problems. Steve Petty is a master at setting this thing up and Proline built one hell of a motor. If something went wrong tomorrow im still happy with what Morgan and I have as a father and son. Long time coming with hard work and good people like Vengeance Racing (Ron Mowen), Steve Petty and Proline Race Engines. All I ever wanted was a 8 second car. By the way none of this could happen without my good friend and driver Chris Wood, he still cant believe a small block Chev can run this fast.

Thanks for the congrats. You know when Morgan and I started this project all I ever wanted was to see how fast I could make a NA 427 auto trans run. It might not fit in any class at the shootout but bracket racing. It never was built for a class. This was all about finding a good engine builder, damn good tuner and in my case a good driver. This is all about fun and the dream of watching the dream come true. I could put a Liberty in it like all the fastest cars have and go even faster. But the goal was start with the automatic and get all I could get out of it. I bought a liberty today. This winter I will make the change over and go over the motor for next spring. But as of now I think this is as fast as any auto NA has gone. With better weather, more tuning, who knows how fast this thing will run. You know when this car goes into the traps at 9400 rpms nothing sounds any better to a old man.
