New personal best 9.87@134.8 stock C.I. LS2
I went to a rental today at Atco Raceway in NJ. I ran a new personal best with my new motor. This is the first time out with it and it is a Stock Cubic Inch LS2 that utilizes stock crank, rods, and pistons. I know how some guys get all wired over a "stock bottom end" declaration so please note I am not doing that. I ran a handfull of 9 second passes the best of wich I list below
60 - 1.30
330 - 3.98
1/8 - 6.24@108.3
1000 - 8.20
1/4 - 9.87@134.8
I backed it up with a 9.88 a 9.92 and a 9.95 with the passes going from slowest to fastest in order. I'd like to thank Kaltech Tuning here on Long Island Brian came along for the day and helped iron out some short shifting issues early on in the day. Kaltech is a sponser here and have done a flat out awesome job with my Speed Density tune I really could not ask for any better. If your near the island and need tuning look them up. Chris from Circle D conveters this guy is a gem as well. I'm tellin ya these guys build a PERFORMANCE converter and the customer service is flawless. I am in NY they are in Texas and let me tell you I could not get better service from any local. My Performabuilt tranny has yet to miss a beat out there either. She still shifts like the bricks! Frank is this your first 9 second transmission?
JOSEPH has spent alot of time helping me along the way with this motor. Big thanks to him again. What can I say JOSEPH I came close dude even with the extra 18 cubes I could'nt crack that .82

I'm not surprised LOL I was on the phone with him a few weeks back he told me about some of the new improvements that were in store for the shootout. Congrats to them!

Congrats again and I'm glad I could help you out. Don't anyone be mistaken, this is truly a homebuilt car. The only stuff that wasn't done in jfm's driveway or garage was the transmission build and tune, otherwise this is a car that him and his father gone through over the years being very detail oriented to create an overall setup that runs hard and still uses lots of GM factory components.
Congrats to both of you and I think it's time for a title change under your name.

Yeah big thanks to my Dad his screen name here aptly is "jfm". He bought this car brand new and there is a long history with us and this car. We spent many great days at the track together starting out in the low 13's with this car.

Nice times and I really like using a 4l60e running 9's, if there would have been good 4l60 builder's back 5yrs ago I would still have one in my T/A. What gear/tire are you running out back?
