Went to 411 today to make sure the tweaks to the suspension worked!

The track came around late in the afternoon! Who saids that track does not hook?

Here is a 1.378 60 foot video! I am really liking the 28 inch tires!!

Thanks qwk93ta the car has been a lot of work and fun! I am really surprised that the car picked up all the way across the board with the 28 inch tires!!

I am looking forward to going to the 1/4 mile track real soon!

Great job N2, the 28s are working well. Have you considered launching with a 2-step at higher RPM?

Take care,
Jim

Jim,

My Rossler TH400 does have a brake in it, but so far I have not tried it higher than 2,700 RPM's with the LPE two step! I will say that is one thing I am looking forward to doing on my next outing.

Thanks again for the props!

Once you get the tbrake working right, you'll never footbrake again. With that 5500ish stall converter, it'll come out nice at 3800-4000 on the tbrake/2step. Just make sure to wire in a nitrous interrupt on the tbrake or set the window switch to above the launch rpm so you can floor it on the line.

Awesome looking and hooking car. I also went to the 28x10.5 S slicks and I am trying to get my 60's close to yours soon once I get to a decent hooking track. Later

Hawk, the car picked up almost a .10 ET and almost 1.6 MPH's in the 1/8. I have not gone to the 1/4 with the 28's yet! The 60 picked up 3 numbers. We had hoped to go last Saturday but we had snow instead!

Working on wiring up the new nitrous interrupt relay now to do just that! It should be a ride for sure!

Thanks for the props! The car has been a lot of fun and I think it is doing well for a 346 CI.

Thanks, the main reason I asked was I did a cam swap and on the dyno the car picked up hp across the entire band but, when I went to the track great cool weather the car didn't pick up any mph the only other change was I didn't run the 28's like I normally do I ran a 26in tire. Now I'm curious if going back to the 28's if it will pick up some.

Hawk,

Based on the fact that you guys installed the drag bar and now that bad hawk is launching level even on those 26 inch tires which looked like they were mashed to the ground in that awesome photo of your 10.92 run I can assure you if you get a chance to go back with the 28 inch tires you will be posting a new best 60 ft, ET and MPH.

Hopefully you will get a chance to try it out before the end of the year if not you now have a new best ET and MPH for 2009 and will have a brand new best ET and MPH for 2010 first time out with the 28 inch tires.

As for me they are saying it is going to snow again this weekend so I guess we will have to wait for a warm spell to go 1/4 mile racing!

Good luck and be safe!

I agree you will definately pickup et and mph by going with the 28" tires. Being that you have a 383 and alot of torque you will really like those 28's. My car is setup similar to yours and I am crossing with the shift lite on about 200' before the end of the 1/4 with the 28's, 4.10 gear setup@127.8mph so i am swapping to 3.73's so I can spray the car. I also think my car will run quicker on the motor with the 3.73's b/c I can't hookup with the 4.10's now. Goodluck later

N2RACINGLS1's,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm hoping your right and it does pick up on both but unfortunately all our tracks are done for the season so I will have to wait until next year. I envy you guys in the south with the long racing season so I will be looking for your new thread with your new best once the snow clears out.

Good luck and be safe.

Thanks again Jeff

Thanks, If you do get one make sure to buy a good one. The one have bolts on to the bar and has a rubber based to prevent vibration.
