Default In Car Video of Formula on 28 inch Slicks

Took the Formula to I-40 Dragway in Crossville with the 28X10.5X15 S M/T slicks instead of the 26X10X15 S M/T slicks.

The car actually picked up ET and MPH! I have a little more tuning to do on the suspension but I was very pleased!

Looks like you went through the traps at only 6000 rpms with the 28's.

I Have no problem with sharing my efforts!

I have installed poly mild steel tubular Spohn LCA, Drag sway bar, Torque Arm, K-member, Upper and lower A-arms and QA1 R shocks with 275 lb. springs in front only! I made my on travel limiters. I have Comp Engineering shocks and stock springs in rear! I also have airbag in the right spring which I had before I added the Drag sway bar.

I have the front shocks set on full loose. I have the travel limiters set to allow 4 inches of travel on the front at this time! I have the rearend angle set at -2 degrees! ET Drags are set anywhere from 15 to 16.5 lbs. depending on track conditions. I have the rear airbag pumped up to 15 lbs.

I Footbrake to 3,000 RPM's and wait on the last yellow stomp on the gas and go!

Hope this helps!

I would agree somewhere between 5,800 rpms to 6,000 rpms it should allow me to increase the nitrous shot at the 1/4 mile tracks which was my goal!

Nice pass. I am planning on switching to ET drags next year. My radials are too inconsistent. I am looking at the 28x10.5x15.

I noticed you were on 346CI and that is my goal with my current build im wanting to start very soon. I was curious if you would care to share what your running on your setup? What Heads, Cam, Intake, Stall, Gears, Pistons, Injectors and Pump, Valve Springs etc. etc. I see your putting down some good times and was curious to know if what im looking to do was close to your setup. Thanks

You have ***** my friend. It looked like the car took a turn towards the wall on the launch but you stayed in it anyways!

Looks like a nice car, congrats on your times. Turn it up to a 150 and post the vid of your 9 sec pass for us.

Well I have a Formula which does not have the extras that a TA has. I had to move the rear end forward 1/4 inch and take a hammer to the inner fender wells in front of the rear end, no fender rolling I do not have the car lowered stock springs and rubber hose in place of the isolator. I have 7.5 inch backspacing for the 15X10 wheels. I hope this helps!

Yea it has always launched straight on the 26 inch tire but with the 28 inch tire it was a little bit different. I tweaked the suspension a little bit more after that outing I think it is ready to go now! The main purpose for going to the 28 inch tire was to add more nitrous so we will see what happens.

I was surprised to see it pickup all the way across the board with the 28 inch tire that is for sure!
