Default Dr. Z goes 9.33 N/A at MIR

RobZ (who can't post due to a perma-ban) went 9.33 N/A in his 03-Z yesterday at a rental at MIR. Car trapped 117+ in the 1/8th.

BTW...he was rowing the gears.

He's working on it. He'd like to be able to do it without having to run BS3...they've got some ideas.

His current set-up has trapped in excess of 145. On that run, he trapped 142 since the computer shut him down as he was buzzing thru the traps at 8000+ rpm. Had that not happended, he believes he'd have been hitting 147-148.

The car is street driven and has a valid NJ registration and inspection sticker. It idles at 650 rpm without any "hunting/surging."

Jeez, 9.3's at that speed is pretty good. What kind of 60 foot? I can match 140's mph on my traps but i cant get off the line. That car is awesome!! I debated on buying a C5 Z and wanted to build a LSx motor like that.

Its amazing that its "only" 388 cubes. Good size but those times I'd expect a 400+ inch motor to do

One criterior for this street car build was to be under 400cubes and another was a drag radial.
His best 60' so far is 1.32 on a 25" drag radial.
Best mph is 146.62.

He is really only on a 25" radial? With a 1.32 I would expect 28's, especially with a 6 speed. What is the suspension set up?
