Default Congrats to Magnum GTO- 9.23@148mph!!!

Just talked with Jan (Magnum GTO) this morning. He ran a new personal best @ Darlington over the weekend

Jan also set the new record for IRS GTOs with a 1.38 60ft!!!!

Set up consists of:

Vengeance/Proline spec 427 LS7
TrickFlow 235cc CNC Cylinder Heads
Vengeance Spec Custom Camshaft
RPM Transmissions TH400
Yank Custom Stall Converter
Hendrix 8.8 IRS Conversion
Nitrous Outlet Direct Port 33/24
Built/Tuned by Vengeance Racing

3725 Race Weight!!!

Here is his timeslip..

Here are a couple of pics of the setup

Video of a recent 9.39 pass leaving off the footbrake

Going to step up the direct port to a 35 nitrous jet and then start tuning in the 2nd stage shortly. Need to make a small adjustment on the converter first.

Again, Congrats Jan!!!!

Actually no.. The previous record was 1.39.... That GTO and Jans above are the only two that I know of..

That being said, have you seen the flat black C5 Z06 we built? He is cutting 1.25 60fts on an IRS with full Pfadt suspension

Congrats , does Proline build all your motors for you ? Or just the real radical ones ? This GTO and Keith's car are really hauling . I saw your post on lsxtv about Keith's car , what did you guys do to it to make it more of a " racecar " according to your post ? I'm still blown away by the 1.25 60ft .

Proline does 95% of our shortblocks. We do our longblocks in house... We also use SDPC for our customers not looking to spend quite as much as the Proline stuff runs...

Keith recently took his Vette over to Bell Chassis Works.. His crew chief works there and they decided to turn the car into a full blown race car... A few mods include: Dry sump/belt drive/smaller radiator/air shifter/16 volt system/removal of entire factory harness and the list goes on and on... His vette is REALLY getting it done. We are happy to be such a huge part of that cars history!!!!

Wow , Keith is on a mission , I'm sure he'll take the 1/4 mile record also .

How fast is he looking to push the IRS ? Maybe 7's ?

That would be incredible . Good luck to you guys .

His 1/8 ET reflects 8.40s in the 1/4 using a calculator.. All he has to do at this point is stay in it and he will have the record..

Yes, I see Keith in the 7s by early spring. He is barely pushing the combo at this point.

Thank you very much.

Outstanding Ron!!

You guys keep beating down the door of our records, what's up with that!?!

Seriously though, nice job, I would love to line up my car with Keith's, and Franks GTO with this one. That would make for some great racing there!
