Question Whats a good E/T goal to set with my mods?

First time at the track with the mods my sig I went 12.4 @ 114 with a 1.97 60' and my stock 10 bolt.... My question is with that mph and a way better 60', what do you think I can get outta her? She makes around 400 on a mustang dyno. Car is full weight and has sock suspension besides lowering springs. Now I know I need a rear before im able to see the best possible times but say I had a fab 9'', gears and some good DR what do you think the car is capable of?

I agree with danhr. You're gonna need some suspension and a clutch that will take hard launches to get better. However with what you said you were going to add, low 12's/high 11's seems about right.

technically a 9" would slow you down. so to speak. You will get more drivetrain loss with the 9" than your 10 bolt. So theoretically, if you launched your car the exact same, in the same conditions, and both rear ends held together, you would net a fast ET with the 10 bolt. The advantage to the 9" is that you will be able to launch the car a lot more aggressively than opposed to the 10 bolt, which would more than likely break (i.e. launching at 5k rpms or so).

Judging by your mph, I would say with a really decent launch, you will be in the 1.7/high 1.6 range in your 60'. The drag radials and rear won't help you much, if any past the 60' mark really. I really don't think you have enough power to bust into 11's (don't know what your average DA is where you are at, but I'm just going to assume you are like < 1000 above sea level). 114 is good for a low 12 second pass.

To give you an idea, last season my car would cut a low 1.6/high 1.5 60', and would run a 11.8 @ 116 mph.

i think i should become a professional bench racer.....

Thanks for the input guys..couple things i wanna add:

Were 21 ft above sea level here in sunny South Florida

I didnt launch the car on that run (fear of breaking my DD's rear.)

The DA that day was crazy high..had just rained humid and hot night.
Density Altitude: 534 feet
Relative Density: 98.45 %
Humidity was: 78%

I made 392/362 before my 9 inch moser and went 12.3 at 114-115 similar weather (Valdosta, GA). After the 9 inch with cooler weather went a 11.9 at 116. Get rid of some weight, put in the 9, dial in the suspension and with 400 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno you should run mid 11s no problem. Granted when you go faster be prepared to spend money, via Clutch, Slicks drive shaft etc... Good Luck

You get your 60ft down to 1.7's/1.6's and you will be in the mid to high 11's.You need to get yourself a set of lower control arms, panhard bar and a torque arm and that will help w/ your 60ft.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

They say every tenth in 60 ft is worth 2 tenths in the 1/4, so with a 1.5x 60ft you should be pretty well into the 11's.

a 1.5x 60' out of a FULL WEIGHT BONE STOCK SUSPENSION car that traps 114 mph, let alone one that is a manual and is lowered??

I want what that guy is smoking.

I never said stock suspension in my post.... And yes, a properly setup full weight six speed trapping 114 can go 1.5x 60 fts.

the op stated his car has no suspension mods, except lowering springs, which will just hurt his 60'. and you said he could hit a 1.5x 60', and the only mods he said he was adding was a fab 9" and drag radials. sorry. not happening.
