The gears hurt, but they aren't hurting you that much. With full exhaust and drag radial, mine goes consistant 12.8s and its been a best of 12.4. Get you a decent stall and cooler. Your 60fts will drop and so will your ET. But you've got more in it as it stands, I 1.9s with my stock stall and street tires.

forget the other stuff and do the stall first. That should be the first thing someone in an a4 should do if they want better times. 273s suck but with a stock converter your not gonna pick up much with a 3.42 gear swap IMO.

I picked up .33 tenths with my gear swap .From 273's to 373's as I stated earlier in this post . Simular with DA @-85 and -100 .
Went from 13.49 w/ 2.04 60ft to
13.16 w/1.97 60 ft with 373's .
I just ran my car with the Yank SS4000 stall .
12.53 w/ 1.72 60ft . This is at +1428 da too !!
Thats a et reduction of .63.
Corrected its a 12.33 Thats over .9 tenths ! Its a simular pick up as 100 shot of nitrous![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Gears do help ,But a good torque converter will make a huge difference in ET reduction .
