What I've got done: Lid, K&N, ported throttle body, ported and de-screened MAF, Borla Catback
She put down 328hp and 352ftlbs the day before on the dyno.
I was hoping for a 12.90 but the car didn't seem like it wanted to move until it was way past the 60' mark. Obviously 2.73s will do such a thing.
Question is...with a 3.42 will I have a 12.90 car? Not sure if it'd be enough to take me down an entire half a second.
2.11 60'
5.80 330'
8.79 1/8 - 83.17 1/8 MPH
11.30 1000'
13.42 1/4 - 105.59 1/4 MPH

I haven't dynoed my car yet but I also have the stock 2.73s . I think the 2.73s are hurting my times also . I have a stock set of 3.42s I am about to try out .... I got them cheap so I figured why not go that route .... I ran a best of 8.46 in the 1/8th with pretty much full bolt ons minus gears on street tires. I'm not sure just how good that is ....

2.04 60 ft
8.8 @82.5mph 1/8
13.49 @105mph in the 1/4 1/4.
Then did 373s D/radials and went :
1.9 60 ft
8.4 @84mph 1/8
13.16 @106.5mph in the 1/4
I might of squeezed a 13.0 ,,if I didnt get kicked out .

With good air and traction it is possible for you to click off a 12.9X . To make sure I make it next time ,I did a Yank SS 4000 stall ,tune and suspension .The converter was a much bigger difference than the gears .Gears will help ,but a converter will probably help more . They go nicely together

Last October I went from 2.73s to 3.42s and picked up maybe 2 tenths with all else being equal. Although my best time with the stock converter and 2.73s was 12.72 @ 109, just like my best ET with my current setup (stock converter, 3.42s last month). The run with the 2.73s was a few years ago and my car had a lot fewer miles on it than it does now so maybe that has something to do with it. The DA is always a factor too, although both runs in question were done in pretty good air.

So I guess I'm not too far off then from where I should be at. Thanks for the advice guys. I won't be doing a converter for a little while...it'll come after exhaust and gear.
I'll be back at the track with 3.42s, full exhaust, and a new tune in a month or two. 12.79 possible?

The converter is the most expensive thing to do, hence why I have to wait. I can only do as much as my college wallet lets me at the moment.
BUT, a converter doesn't immediately require a tune to gain it's full advantage like the rest of the exhaust and a gear. Hmm...
.4 off a 3.42 would be nice and I could see it given the quality of air before and after. You could've just had gone on a really crappy night, switched gears, and gone again on a much better night.

The gears hurt, but they aren't hurting you that much. With full exhaust and drag radial, mine goes consistant 12.8s and its been a best of 12.4. Get you a decent stall and cooler. Your 60fts will drop and so will your ET. But you've got more in it as it stands, I 1.9s with my stock stall and street tires.
