H/C/I 346 stock short block 9.xx or bust, results!!!
DA -700Ft
Well looks like i busted for 9s this year...
Was an exciting night none the less. Only a few of you headed out to US41 on friday night. The track prep was less than stellar and i couldn't get the car to hook for anything unless i left off idle. That resulted in a 10.15...Now Don't get me wrong that is a great time but my car has always done a lot better with it stalled up.
We decided that the only way i was going to hook was to get right in the tracks of a slick car that just went down the track. heymoej thanks for the rubber. Well decided to stall the car up about 90% and it lifted the front end hard at the top of the lifting i pedaled it a hair. Resulted in a
1.4280 60 ft (on the rear tires) (1.32 ish range on fronts)
4.0238 330ft
6.3519 at 105.38MPH
8.3678 1000ft
10.0838 1/4 with 130.85 MPH down a hair
Well since it hiked them pretty good decided to put two clicks in the shocks they were set at full extension 0.
Stalled the **** out of it this time and was not lifting. Gracefully picked up the front end as always and she kept lifting till i was on the bumper which took all 4 wheels off the ground, when they gained traction again the car twisted and was aimed at the wall...Well at least towards the wall since i was at 1 o' clock facing sky. Had to fully let out and let it come down hard on the passenger side while quickly jerking the wheel to correct it. i guess it was quit a sight to see, and missing the wall by inches. We paced it out and it was 175ft when it came down. Oil pan, k member, trans pan, all took a good scraping, headers are messed up pretty bad. Headers went from 1 7/8 size to 1 1/8 size haha...alignment is jacked had to drive home with the wheel facing 10 o' clock...and finally the car is not sitting flat the rear passenger side is 3/4" lower than the other side. Going to have to have a body shop check it over. The rest is just scratches to the underside of the plastics. All with a SS4000
So i went out with a bang either way this year. Sorry no pics or video.
Bust for 9s and probably wont happen since i am getting a 10 point this winter...I also added madman SYA bars and travel limiters to the list
Add me to OTB Club...haha
Looks like i have to spend more time with the Avatar...
full compression on the passenger side ha

Congrats on the PB Chris, but like I said before sucks about the damage (Battle Scars). Your headers don't look too bad, just let me know and I can have my buddy fix them up for ya.

nice job Chris! sucks your out for the year. I keep close tabs on your car. Im looking for new bests soon when I catch some good DA. I ran 10.61 a couple a weeks ago in horrible air with a 1.48. Gonna start playing with the shocks more.
