Default Stock LS1 consistently trapping at 108 mph, fast????

I was hitting 108 mph at the track bone stock down to the stock muffler and I'm not the slickest shifter in the world.

I had since put a GMMG catback and a lid on and still hit 108mph consistently with no improvement.

Is trapping 108 mph fast for a STOCK 6 speed 02 LS1 or is that the norm??? Car has 90k miles.

It just seemed fast based on all the other slips of stock LS1's, and what kinda HP numbers do you think I have 330 ish rwhp?????

Thoughts?

Well you did not say where you are at but I would say the car is doing good. Our 02 WS6 6spd traps anywhere from 107 to high 109's depending on the time of year! That is with nitto's and a lid!

I am in Sacramento,CA. This was in early August and late August and it was around 85 degrees. It wasn't like I was close to the Bay Area where its perfect for drag racing 55-70 degrees year round.

And this was on STREET ZEXIUS TIRES, lol. Some crappy tires I've never heard of.
I was frustrated because my ET was 13.6 but yet I was trapping so high compared to other cars out there who ran high 12's and trapped at 104-107. Traction was definitely horrible.

It would be interesting to see if I could get in the 12's with Drag Radials, a great 60ft, and banging the gears to perfection. The MPH definitely suggests that I could.

I wonder if I have one of those "FREAK" cars that dyno around 330 rwhp stock. Car isn't a low mileage car either at 90k.

Doubt it, I was out there with folks from Nor Cal LS1 and know one had ever mentioned this at all. I think many of them would have found out like Duane(Spellbound) who is always there bracket racing. Maybe it was on a different night where the beams were off.

hahaha ok. You're right I have no idea what I'm talking about. They were off over a year and were fixed in late September. Search about it in general section on norcal
