Default Prostars and chris1313 ram air results

I ran about a month ago and went 11.89 @ 114mph in the quarter. The car's best was 11.75 @ 115 last year. My mods are in my sig. However, I took off the heavy 17 X 9.5 Z06 style wheels and added the chris 1313 ram air w/o AC. In the process, the car lost 75 lbs. The results are from today.

1st pass
60'...........1.635
330..........4.754
1/8..........7.330 @ 94.62mph
1/4..........11.510 (mph was messed up in left lane)

2nd pass
60'...........1.665
330..........4.756
1/8..........7.341 @ 95.68
1/4..........11.512 @ 117.90

My previous best 60' was 1.72. I guess the prostars helped there Oh yeah, the temp was 50 degrees and the track was hooking. I'm about to put on an HSW wet kit and hopefully run 6's in the eighth and 10's in the quarter on an easy 100 shot.

So many variables have changed since last time, its hard to say what did what, but either way you have a nice improvement! Congrats!

I agree. I didn't keep up with the exact temps and DA. However, I can say that I've never et'd or mph'd like I did yesterday. I picked up 3mph and 2.5 tenths from my best, and 4mph and 3.5 tenths from just a month ago.

On a side note, I never thought the prostars with 275 50 15 M/T drag radials would help my 60 foot so much. The overall height of the tire is within .2 inches of the 275 40 17 Nittos on the Z06 wheels I was running. I guess the skinnies on the front, being lighter and less rolling resistance, helped the car get moving. I expected to pick up 1 mph or maybe 2 in the quarter, but not .1 in the 60 foot!

Thx Raymond.

Jon, my car looks almost exactly like yours minus the ram air hood!

NhraFormula, I am happy with the results. Can't wait to hose it down

Yeah, I wanted to make a pass with the prostars before I put on the ram air, but it snowed that Sunday and the track was closed. When the box from Speed Inc. came, I couldn't wait to put the ram air on.
