Nice times. Is your race weight with you in the car?

Also what weight reduction have you done besides the back seats?

I took out all the carpet and center console, door panels, other trim parts on the inside. Passenger seat, took off y pipe and catback, front swaybar. Thats pretty much it, that takes a decent amount of weight off but the car is still heavy. It weighs 3500 pounds with me in it with everything on the car but the back seats and rear seat belts and the front sway bar. So i figured it would weigh around 3350 with me in it with all the stuff i took out.

I got my shiftlight set at 5700 so its shifting at about 5800 by the time i see it. Thats one thing i was gonna try and see if it helped to shift it higher but i doubt it will. I think it carries better over 5800 now over the ls6 intake but you can still feel a decent fall off.

Have you tried shifting higher ? I would be willing to bet that you would pick up some et shifting higher. I would move it up 100 rpms at a time until you find sweet spot or a dyno would help you find where it peaks and shift points should be 300-400 rpm higher. Also what tire pressure are you running in your slicks? Sometimes a very small amount of tire spin keeps the motor from bogging especially on a car that doesn't have tons of power.

Car won't bog anymore since the gto trans, just gotta get the suspension workin, i run 13 psi hot and 12 cold. I had it dyno'd when i first got it and the peak is at 5400. Ive tried to shift it higher with the ls6 intake but it would run the same et just less mph. I am gonna try and see what it will do shifting higher with the fast but since the peak is at 5400 i am pretty sure it won't help.

Really no point in taking a picture lol. All i have on it is the long tubes and collector extensions but i will take a pic of that if you want. I do have some pics of the exhaust when i had it on the car. Not really any good undershots tho

Ok didn't know you had the lower 1st gear. You are right , it prob won't peak much higher with the Fast. Maybe 100 rpm. Sounds like your are on the money with shift points. What rpm are you through the traps? Optimum should be around 6200 if geared right. Most of the super stock guys run more gear with 29 in tire. 4.56 w/ 28 in tire might be the ticket. Awsome times and good luck.

If you dont mind, I'd like to see something I no works. If they arent the right lenght it seems the car looses power to me.

its right around 6000 more or less through the traps. the 4.11's and 26's work ok i am not sure what it would do with 28's on it but eventually i will be runnin a 28.

My car runs just as good with or without the extensions on there honestly, i will get you a few pictures of it and give you the lenght of it from the end of the collector. I was shooting for 18 inches from the tip of the collector but its not exact.

I took 4 pics of them and measured them from the end of the collector to the end of the extensions and they are 17 1/2 inches total for each. I also noticed that the driver side was not completely sealed to the collector. I'll probably just leave it like that.
