Angry slower after h/c install

Have some passes on the new setup and I'm running slower... wtf!
Had a personal best last season of a 7.8 in the 1/8th and my best time tonight was an 8.00 with consistant 1.8 60ft
I should be faster after adding around 50rwhp so I dunno wtf is up

Either your spinning or the tune is off.

What size converter do you have ? I had a PTC 3500 in my car when it was bolt ons only and it went 7.50 but I put a MS3 cam in it and a tune and ran it and mph got better and 60 was slower. Time was a best of 7.45 so I changed to a 4400 converter and went 7.18 .

Trap seems slow. I'm hitting 89mph with mine and I'm almost surely heavier.

What was the trap before? Did it get better?

Ya 87mph with a 1.8 60' equates to like a 350rwhp setup. Something is seriously wrong.

Yeah I can't find my older time slips, they must have got mixed in with some trash papers
I dyno tuned in the morning and put down 382rwhp and 394rwtq
I had a thought of bad gas cuz I put a couple of gallons in to make sure I could make a round trip!

Something sounds screwy, I've never seen a ls1 make more TQ than HP. I'm guessing that was a converter spike on TQ.

Did you get a printout from the dyno?

It was a pretty straight graph... no spikes... my car has always had a little more tq than hp!

Well I'm highly skeptical. That TQ is high for an automatic with a stall period, much less it's the TQ # of a 430+ RWHP LS1.

Definitely makes me curious though.

Who tuned it, what rpm is it shifting at, do you have the dyno graph. The hp should be higher than the torque. You need something besided street tires lol.

You should be running around a 7.6 or so. There is def something wrong with the tune IMO. You should be doing much better than 8.0 even with a 1.8 60'. Try putting on a good tire and go back and see what she does.

That car is way down on power. Can you post the graph? 382whp does not equal 88mph. The car in sig went 88 with a lid and muffler...literally. Also id expect a lot more power. Who tuned it?

That should be going 95 at least with 243 heads and that cam.

95 in the 1/8 with a h/c would have to be very strong or a very light car.

As for the op definitely something wrong post the dyno graph
