Kinda pissed after my runs
So I went to the track last Friday and lost every race. Now my anger is not from the losses but because I had no traction. I know that people say that all the time but when I say no traction I mean no traction. Look at these times
Me Other guy
60'- 2.5259 2.0629
330'- 6.4105. 5.8642
1/8- 9.3965@83.97 8.9341@80.96
1000- 11.8635@100.51. 11.5273@93.83
1/4- 13.915@110.43. 13.7144@103.26
I was so close to catching everyone I raced at the big end but just couldn't do it. First gear was having to be feathered and the best I could do was 65% throttle(per HP tuners) then into second I had to start at 30% and slowly apply more up to the most I could do which was 80%(per HP tuners). Third I could do WOT and forth WOT. I was only able to launch at 1700Rpm anything more it would go up in smoke. So I know I need a new rear end, and tires. But I thought I would have had more traction then that with the stock suspension, guess not.... Oh well was a fun night hearing the announcer getting frustrated knowing it could be in the low 12's high 11's but he was rooting for me on the big end everytime. Fun time though!!!

Yep I have a 236/242 .601 .610 114lsa, stepped LT's, LS6 ported intake, Ls6 hand ported heads, 26926 springs, ported ls6 oil pump, HD double timing chain, exaust dumps in front of rear end, pro 5.0, wisper lid, hand ported LS1 TB, tuned by me.
The guy I ran was in a ford lightning with DR's and smaller pully and I don't know what else he had, didn't really know him and he didn't talk too much.

if your dumping the clutch, that would be a problem.
leave at 4k, slipping the clutch and be all the way out by the 60'
also you must not be on a very good tire, cause with that method i was cutting 1.920's stock suspension, with the battery grounding out on the ac dryer.. on a shitty 555r

I know what your saying, 110 was crazy for as much issues that I had in 1st an second. I think with some tires I could pick up more then 2-3mph, especially if I can go to WOT in second and maybe even first!! I think this should be in the 11's with some traction. I hope anyway!

Getting an M6 down the track cleanly is not easy by any means-I can't do it.
Right now your car is a total mess getting off the line and down the track and all of this is just bench racing. A video would shed some light-we know your spinning, not transferring weight, I'll bet your shifts are a mess. There's work to be done here brother.

I do understand that a small amount of tire spin before the 60' will help a lot and increase the MPH, I know as per my original post that I have traction issues, and have said it over and over on here 1st and 2nd were both up in smoke. I also know that my stock clutch with 60k on it can not support me slipping the clutch out like I should. I do have vid of the runs from the stands and will try and post them. You can hear me get in and out of the throttle and you can also see the lights dip and raise as I get in and out of it trying to control the car.

Also I do know I need to get tires and I'm thinking of getting a set of 2 16" firebird wheels to put some tires on. I don't know what site everyone uses for their DA but the one I found was http://airdensityonline.com/ the lady that runs it was very helpful and I sent her an email trying to see if she would come out with a app for iPhones and droids. I guess the next question is do I go with MT ET's or nitto DR's? I have heard mixed reviews of both for M6 cars. Clutch I'm getting is a centerforce dfx.
