Last night I headed up to WI to make some passes at GLD in the TBSS. I was not expecting to do anything spectacular, given the hot weather. It had been a while since I was racing, and I had the itch to get some track time in. Track prep was phenomenal! There were a lot of race cars doing test hits for a race the next day. Plenty of fresh rubber on the track and frequent traction compound applications.
1900' Density Altitude
12.159 @ 108.40mph 1/4 mile
7.645 @ 87.69 1/8 mile
and my favorite part....
1.584 60'!!!
I currently hold the record for fastest AWD cam only pass (12.277 @109.15mph 1.653 60'), and this run is 2nd place for cam only 2wd

I made a total of 19 passes, yes 19!
-7 were 12.199 or better
-10 were 12.250 or better
-1, the second pass I made, it wheel hopped and ran a 12.470. I dialed in two clicks of compression on my rear shocks after that, and it never happened again.
-8 of the passes had a sub 1.600 60' time, the rest were 1.601-1.620
Just for ***** and giggles, the altitude corrected time is 11.895 @ 110.861 MPH We frequently see NEGATIVE DA here in the fall!
The truck tips the scales at 4030lbs, and I still had a quarter tank of gas. Id like to have seen 39xx
For comparison, a full weight AWD one weighs around 4800lbs

Just correcting the DA down to sea level it should be doing about an 11.89. Aerodynamics and top end are not the strong points of a truck! Its all about getting it out of the hole and down the first half of the track as fast as possible. I have a little over 300 passes under my belt in this thing.

Went a bit faster yesterday, and I plan to hit 11s tomorrow night. Finally had my 2nd wheel show up for a set of front runners.
This pass is the current cam only record for any TBSS
12.032@110.43mph 1.589 60'
7.588@88.48mph 1/8th

Im more excited about that than hitting 11s! This thing takes off like a damn rocket. I had a buddy helping put me in the water box and line me up. He said the left front wheel was jerking about an inch off the ground on the launch.
