Default stock with a lid....8.37

8.76@83.97mph best about a month ago in 80+degrees and god knows what the humidity was...... and best mph as of tonight was 84.76 but could not hook better than 8.844...had the track been as good as the 8.76, then it would have gone 8.58ish to 8.64ish at 85+mph....going back next friday... we'll see what happens..

UPDATE... friday went 8.37@85.26 1.95 sixty....ON OLLLDDD, like 5yrs of sittin outside old, Goodyears that were for my IROC... 90% tread but dry-rotted BAD..so bad that the left rear went flat and blew sidewall about a 1/2 mile from home... These TIRES made a TREMENDOUS DIFFERENCE in TRACTION over the goodyears that were on there...difference between 2k launches and 3900rpm lauches.
best mph was 85.55mph on 2 different passes.

mods are SLP lid, ported TB&MAF. 6spd

Nice! That's about where mine was too with just the lid/ported TB. A tune dropped it down to the 8.4. Also ran in the same 80+ degree air.

Sweet, Sweet.....Older guy at track has a 98 and uses HP tuners and guarantees a .2+ drop for $200 and $35 a re-tune....tunes it on the street with a wideband 02.. told me to get tires first so i have a SOLID baseline...

Not a bad start for a lid only! As mentioned, a good tune, some stickier tires and better air should net you a happier timeslip!

Default Time

That is a cool coincidence. I am at a point where I am getting stock times for my newest car. It is a 2000' Z-28 A4. I have heard a lot of different times claimed for rock stock cars so I had to find out for myself. The car ran 8.73 in 90 deg. wheather.13.61 was my 1/4 mile time at 102mph. I also had the car dunked at g force and it made 284rwhp and 289lbs tq. Pretty awesome for a truly stock car.

yeah definitly. when i had the stock 3.42 rearend in my car and a lid/catback, 3600lb raceweight i ran 1.89 8.35 @ 84.81 12.935 @ 107.33. youve got a higher mph that i did, youre 1/4 ET would have been quicker than mine. try multiplying your 1/8th mile ETs by 1.54, that should get you close.

if its a stick, make sure you have a good trans mount...energy suspension is only 23 bucks and wont break... tranny mount was the difference between 9.58@78 and 8.76@84. then tires with tread on them got me 8.37... I had 2.3 sixty foots and was blowin sideways tagging the limiter while pedaling it on the second gear shift on the 9 second passes my first time at the track.
