New personal best, isnt enough
Just went to the track Sunday and got a new best time of 11.83@115 with a 1.71 60'. My first 4 runs were on a 28/9-15 MT slick, the last 3 were on my Nitto 555r drag radials, 245/50/16. My 60' was faster with the DRs oddly enough, but maybe I just wasnt heating the slicks up enough. The car is on stock springs, bilstein shocks, tubular upper and boxed lower rear arms. That's it for suspension mods. Last time I weighed the car it was 3450 with me inside, I think I shaved around 50 lbs since then.
Basically my question is will adding a set of drag shocks up front and either a helper bag or anti roll bar in the rear going to drastically help. I plan on getting some drag wheels but I'm not sure whether to put a radial or a slick on it. The front wheels are pretty heavy almost 40lbs, and it was very close to lifting.

I was pitted a row over from you. Wasn't sure it was you or else I woulda watched one of your passes. The track was working like crap on Sunday. Sounds like the tune really woke it up though! I had the Navy Blue Metallic camaro with the cowl hood and Nevada plates.

I was watching that car towards the end that thing moves. I had nasty wheelhop on the last pass and I called it quits. It was getting pretty rowdy there at the end with the grudge racers. I had a blast though I may be going up there in the next few weeks ill send you a pm

I would go drag shocks all around w/ trick springs up front and the drag bag out back w/ a set of M/T Drag Radials or Nitto 555R's ! I cut 1.61 60ft on Nitto's w/ a bolt-on Car and 3600 Stall !

Cool thanks everyone.
Not sure where exactly I gained but I picked up 74rwhp on the dyno thanks to an awesome tune. The mail order was really holding me back.
I think ill pick up some skinnies, front drag shocks, and a rear bag and see where it gets me. I was ready to put a Pat G cam in the car but all I'm going for is 11.5 because I don't want to cage the car.

I wouldn't worry about needing a bar at 11.50. I went under that Sunday at GLD. GLD will give you some latitude, NLR doesn't care, and Byron usually doesn't say anything either. I'm going to go back to GLD friday for RSD pending the weather.
