Default jy 5.3 and pt7675 t56 1/8th mile results.

went to the track and got some decent runs in... figured a couple things out like i need a 2 step haha. car would launch great but then bog 15-20 ft out and then pick up on the boost 40-50 ft out. anyways the results..

60' 1.803
4.748 330'
7.137 660' @ 104mph

Im pretty happy for the air this run was done in... was pretty hot and humid. If i could get my 60' down in the 1.60 range like it was with my auto id have a pretty decent high 6 second 1/8th mile car that drives like stock ! i know its not that impressive for ls1tech as there are people around here way faster but for this area its pretty potent haha!

also ran a 7.14 at 102 mph. boost was right around 16-17psi. raceweight has gotta be 3800 pounds. i want to get a 2 step and a .96 hotside for this turbo because i feel like it may be choking the top end and then maybe replace these pac 1518's with some dual springs and more seat pressure. would love to hit 110 mph on this motor!

That's awesome. I'd love some more stat's on you combo. I'm looking to build either a turbo JY 5.3 or Procharged 5 speed car (Nova). Congrats.

made 580 at 12.5 psi. 550 corrected, however weather station was in the 25-30° temp and my intake temps between runs runs was never below 60. i let it cool with engine running and the fan blowing on the car for 3-4 minutes in between so take the correction fwi haha. made peak power at 5500 rpm i believe.

i agree but it is what it is lol... want to see 110 out of it on the 5.3... but with the 1/8th mile its right at the 3-4 shift gonna be hard i think. maybe my valve springs just arnt strong enough for the boost/backpressure as im running out 3rd gear to 6400(on limiter just after the line) rpm through the traps as the shift is right there.. plus the car is a pig lol iron block, dana 60.. raceweight is 3800+ for sure. besides if the car picks up 30 mph on the backhalf like most turbo cars do then 134 in the 1/4 at 3800 pounds is about right for the power i believe it has on 16-17psi.

Is this a stock bottom end?

EDIT: I am guessing so since you say jy 5.3. I am assuming you mean junk yard 5.3?

even with a 104 1/8 the car would still easily trap over 130 in the 1/4.

went back to the track and got a new best mph. ran a 106.8 and a 106.3. tried to get my 6 sec timeslip with the 2 step but track wasnt holding the launch. was happy for a new best mph anyways. as far as the 2 step... lol i didnt have time to correctly wire it in to my clutch pedal so i cut the wire going to my line lock and hooked it up to the 2 step lol so the line lock switch controlled it... which i forgot to switch off on this run at the launch hahaha... this was just a fun run with the track announcer.
