We have a couple 9" equipped corvettes out there right now. Mark Carlyle is the fastest with a 6.82@223mph which is currently the fastest IRS car in the world. And we have 4-5 other kits out there in cars that are being assembled. The 9" kit requires going to a powerglide or TH400 tho.

I'm aware but I can't let that happen.lol
Rodney was thinkin about a 9" that would work in this car. We almost had him convinced it was worth it. lol
I might have to sent crashed94 a case of his favorite beverage and bring up the good ole days when we all just got started.

I spent many hours researching and racking my brains on how to put a 9" behind a 6 speed for my FRC. I had an LS7 that was really high strung that needed more gear, something like a 4.56. But unfortunitely there just isn't enough room. You would have to shorten the torque tube about 9", remove the bell off the rear of the torque tube and build some kindof front adapter plate to adapt the trans directly to the torque tube, shorten the input shaft and clearance the floor under the console a lot. So much that it would probably get into the seats

You can do a ZR1 differential but it requires changing the mainshaft in the trans and the tail housing. Then you have to change the rear cradle, lower a-arms and leaf spring to get the diff to mount in the car. The biggest downfall in the ZR1 diff is the only gear ratio available for the ZR1 and Z06 differentials is 3.42.

Hopefully I'll get some time this spring with another motor to really test the car.
Show me where YOUR 9.32 @ 148 is here.....

Destroked LS7 with a restricted stock computer and another motor for this spring sounds Incredibly familiar with someone elses car.

Complete coincidece right?

I need to make a trip east to Atco, because that track must be magic. Every car that goes there runs!

NOT every car.

The fall air in N.J. brings awesome DA's. The downside is the track is very cold.

I wouldn't recommmend trying with anything that makes alot of steam.

True, but it seems that some of the fastest cars here on ls1tech ran at Atco.

I saw the parachute on your car from the vid, so I'm assuming your car had a different motor at one time?

The fastest internet times always seem to come from Atco. Back when I had my 04 Cobra, it seemed like all the shocking times came from Atco. More than one guy was wanted to measure that track.

Maybe it's time you let go of his shirt tail and stop using his accomplishments and find some of your own.

People just don't understand sometimes what -2000 DA can do to the track times
