We have a couple 9" equipped corvettes out there right now. Mark Carlyle is the fastest with a 6.82@223mph which is currently the fastest IRS car in the world. And we have 4-5 other kits out there in cars that are being assembled. The 9" kit requires going to a powerglide or TH400 tho.

Rodney was thinkin about a 9" that would work in this car. We almost had him convinced it was worth it. lol
I might have to sent crashed94 a case of his favorite beverage and bring up the good ole days when we all just got started.

You can do a ZR1 differential but it requires changing the mainshaft in the trans and the tail housing. Then you have to change the rear cradle, lower a-arms and leaf spring to get the diff to mount in the car. The biggest downfall in the ZR1 diff is the only gear ratio available for the ZR1 and Z06 differentials is 3.42.

I spent many hours researching and racking my brains on how to put a 9" behind a 6 speed for my FRC. I had an LS7 that was really high strung that needed more gear, something like a 4.56. But unfortunitely there just isn't enough room. You would have to shorten the torque tube about 9", remove the bell off the rear of the torque tube and build some kindof front adapter plate to adapt the trans directly to the torque tube, shorten the input shaft and clearance the floor under the console a lot. So much that it would probably get into the seats ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)

We'll have to work with what we have for now.
