well you dont have far to go to break into 11's. get some subframe connectors too. ive seen plenty of cars with less power beat cars with more power just because it was setup right.

It's not just about cutting weight, but more about where you cut it. Look up HioSSilver and see what he's done to his car. Anywhere you can cut rotating mass is a huge advantage over say swapping out the seats.

Mph does seem a bit low for your mods and goal though. (Never mind you explained while I was posting)

What's your 60? My suspension mods are tunnel mt tq arm, lcas, panhard, and ce shocks. Tires are 275 Hoosier drs on 15" summit knock off pro stars. Other mods in my sig I pull 1.6x 60ft ran 11.4 in good weather but run 11s all year off the bottle with 3.42s in the stock rear weighing roughly 3400 with me in it.

Gotcha! Have you done all the little bolt on mods like ported TB, ram air, etc...? Not nearly as important as suspension, but that was already mentioned so...

what type of density altitude you guys get down there in OK? 111 MPH is very slow, fuel pump issue by chance??

And as mentioned above, rotational weight can make a big impact on performance

Da is always different with this screwed up weather one day it's below 1000 then next it's 3000 lol and no stock throttle body and slp lid just cut out underneath the filter for more air flow and I will have a decent pass this weekend hopefully and let you know what it does on my new tires and since I'll have the CE drag shocks and adjustable panhard maybe that will help out some

Who tunes the car? Has it been on a dyno? 60ft from the previous pass? Your down on power AND i would be willing to bet the 60ftcar was around 1.75-1.85. When my car just had a small cam only, pace setter headers, and a lid it went 11s @7 115 at ardmore full weight, bone stock suspension with a 6car speed. I would have someone look at the tune

What are the specs on the cam? Which 4200 converter do you have? Having the right combination is key. Is 12.2@111 your best so far? What 60ft? When i bought my car the combination was way off, had a huge cam with small converter along with a few other issues. The car wouldnt break out of the 12.0's or trap higher than 114 and that was after the fast 92/92 (previous owner had been 11.9@113 with stock intake). When i built my new setup i worked on getting the combination working right and ended up with a much smaller cam and much more drivable car. Now it runs mid 11's all day on stock suspension. You dont need all kinds of suspension work or weight reduction( i have ZERO weight reduction)to get these cars to E.T. It just takes a good combination and believe it or not the stock suspension works well, i know ppl running in the 10s on stock suspension.

Op your way off somewhere. You should be able to break 11's with just bolt-ons.

Are you running at Thunder Valley? Track prep there is mediocre at best unless you go on prostreet shootout nights - the wait in the pits sucks but you're guaranteed more rubber on the track.

Whats your 60' look like? MPH is down by about 3-5 mph depending on DA. DA out there usually isnt that great. The trick is to go on a night where it's been warmish for a few days so the tracks hotter, but the air's cool. Hopefully that will happen on the 29th, I plan on going out there that night.

Never ran over there, but where I do run at Mokan in MO you will not see a bolt on ls1 come close to 11s, and I've only seen 1 cam only car run 11s.

My best 230/224 cam, FAST intake and normal bolt ons in my Chevelle was: 1.68 60ft, 12.24@111mph, weight was ~3650lbs

My new best with 230/238 cam, hand cleaned up 799s, and all same bolt ons is: 1.69 60ft, 11.68@115mph, same weight

Your car should be a little faster due to aero and lighter weight, but don't try to compare to cars running in the NE US where there is killer air or you will always be disappointed. Try to compare to other cars at the track same day as you. My times might seem slow, but I am nearly always the fastest tagged car at the track.

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see you pick up .2 and 2mph with the intake swap on a cammed car

if you got a 1.6 60ft babying it, then a good hard launch will also help you get another .1 or .2
