Ls2 M6 GTO 440 WHP first run
First run on the track (day after I got the car ) lol
Did horrible. This was with garbage Hankook Ventus v12 evos . With a half throttle launch I bogged out on the launch then when I recoveerd I roasted my tires off.. ease in to second and more roast.. then halfway through second wheelhop slaughters me and I have to let off to let her grip.
Any Idea what i'm capable of? I got some nt555s on the rear now so I get some wicked traction off the line now. Im waiting on my Kw Variant 3 suspension to go to the track again
Heres my engine build/setup/dyno

I hope you mean 555R's, if it's just 555's I find it hard to believe you're having good traction. Anyways, assuming you can get some decent traction, 11's should be in order. I raced my buddies heads cam gto that made around 440whp with my old '95 mustang, it was door to door every race and I ran high 11's at 116-117 with that car. The gto was also full weight, big speakers, etc so it was a pig.

Damn thats my goal :/ I dont wanna have to buy a bottle. Well beleive it or not they have some insane traction for me. 275/35/19's . Ill make a video launch from a dig. I dump it at 2.5k and im gone with no spin.

I'm blown away as well on how you are hooking like you do on street tires with 440 rwhp lol. Also, I have a buddy with a setup almost identical to yours (he makes about 445 rwhp IIRC) and he traps around 113-115 mph, so you have some left in that area too

Even with the Rs you're going to have a tough time hooking at your power levels.
When I just had headers and no TM removed I was able to almost dead hook on 275Rs after heating them up. Now with a stall and more power (no TM at all) I would destroy them from a dead stop so need to roll into them.
440 rwhp and you're going to need to step up to an actual drag radial or slick to be able to dead hook. Otherwise you'd be rolling into the throttle much of 1st gear and maybe even the start of 2nd.

i cant vouch for launching at the track with regular 555's but i have regular 555's and on the street i can hook really well now. Just standard size all around 245/40/zr18 no staggered setup or anything. I have heard even 555'rs are not great on the track but ive heard alot of mixed reviews reallyon many tire brands.nd to add i do realize if he is at 440 rwhp vs my maybe 300 or so that definitely could affect things
