Default ls1 hotcam 1/4 mile times..

Hey guys, I just picked up a 01 som z28 A4 for a steal.. Car is super clean and had a few mods and was curious if anyone has any 1/4 mile times using the hotcam and bolt ons.. I would love to report some times myself but will unfortunately not be able to get the car to the track for a while.. I know the cam gets a bad wrap, but I couldn't pass the car up for the price.. My setup is ls1 hotcam, hollowed convertors, weld in flowmaster, (stock manifolds/y- pipe for now) slp lid, 3.73s (stock convertor), and a flash tune from mad tuner.. Any imput on 1/4 times with similar setups or even dyno #s would be appreciated!!

You might want to check out some of the new tick cams on here.

I ran 11.60 at 117 mph with a m6. Car is light with 4.56 gears so not a good comparison but you can run good with a hotcam. It's no longer in the car now though.

Right combo and 11's are easy....w/o a hot cam. Finish your bolt-on with some kooks headers, throw the flowmaster in the trash, get you a fast 90/92,a dyno tune, a little weight reduction, a good converter and mid 11's should be doable.

hey guys, don't know if you had seen my other post, but I was able to sneak away to the track.. Car ran 12.71@112 with a 1.98 60ft, right off the street , after a 45 minute drive, 80 degree weather.. I was impressed with the mph, as I know that's good for low 12s! Ppl really seem to dog this cam, but with a proper exhaust/tune/stall I think the car would be a quick little street car... especially since I only have $4900 bux in it! (that includes the car)

I ran a 12.16 at 114mph N/A with 6 degrees timing pulled. [ hotcam/bolt-ons ]
Weather was about perfect that day, so everyone was running well.

I have a hot cam with supporting mods in sig. I'm working on my 60 ft right now. Best I can manage is a 2.1 60ft. 1/4 mile was 13.2 at 109 mph DA was over 3000 ft. Car is capable of 12's for sure. I love my hot cam!

Let me dig my slip back up so I can check my 1/8th stats.. Also what rpm are you guys shifting at?? I believe mine is programmed to 6200-6300 but honestly it seems like it falls out of powerband for a few hundred rpm.. It feels like it could use a 6500 1-2 shift and a 6400 2-3 shift... Thoughts!??
