Can I drop another .3 tenths?
Wanting any info to see if I can drop another .3 in the 1/4 to get to 10.99 sec pass. My mph is all over the place when I cross the lights, sometimes I run around 122 to 123 then others I run around 114 to 116 but my times stay the same right at 11.2 so I am wondering if I could get some advice from the experts if I am doing anything wrong or need to change anything. Oh and my 60' are always in the 1.51 to 1.53 range
Heads- P&P stage 1 LS6
Cam- Torquer V.3
Intake- Mamo ported fast 92 with NW 92 TB
full bolt-ons
stage 4 built 4l60e with Yank SS 4000 stall
12-bolt with 3.73 gear
I know I need different shocks but for now I have Koni SA all corners on Strano springs
CM adj. control arm, panhard bar and full length torque arm with reloc. bracket, right now I am using the top hole and I have goten my best 60' in that hole with a 1.51
I am not making alot of power at all, it only dynos around 390. Hopefully this is enough info but I probably left something out
This is my pass from last night and went 11.2@114 with a 1.51 60'
Another view of pass above
This is my pass from a few weeks ago with a 11.2@120 with a 1.6 60'
Heads- P&P stage 1 LS6
Cam- Torquer V.3

full bolt-ons

Whats ur race weight? Like i said in your other post, Im right there with You as far as times and mph but im making a lil bit more hp than u but Im also at 367X race weight. Only other difference is im using 4.10's and 27" tire. As far as your suspension, Your 60' is pretty decent, and if ur dead hooking then ur suspensions pretty dialed in. Looks to be make more power or lose some more weight in the car to go faster.

I didn't check it when I ran my 11.1 but on the 11.2 runs I think it was around 1900, I am just trying to prove a point to some people that think you need gobs of power to runs these numbers but I am doing it with less than 400hp and knocking on 10's door

If you do NOT have a (Chris1313 Ram Air), get one from Speedink. I think your mph is off because you are lifting too soon. With that SS4000 try stalling the crap out of it on the launch, stand on the brake as hard as you can and stall it real high just before it starts to move. Chris has been 1.27 60 ft. with a SS4000. Good Luck!!!

I know you have to be happy with the way the car is performing. You will have your 10 second time slip once you get some good air and cooler temperatures. What is your race weight? Is your best 60 foot 1.40 or 1.4's?
Not trying to compare our cars or take away from what you have done to yours but maybe this will help. My car is right at 400 HP to the wheels and when it set at 3,370 lbs it ran it best NA quarter mile time on 26 inch tires in the sig below. That was with a +800 DA. So if you race weight is above mine that could be some of the differences in ET between the two cars. I really think it has to do with the way your car is leaving the line. It appears to me the car is not transferring weight very well. With that being said that could explain the MPH differences if you are getting tire spin throughout your run. As suggested by others stalling higher on the foot brake could help plant the tires harder and provide more weight transfer to help the car 60 foot better or if your suspension is having problems will create wheel spin straight off the line. That will tell the story.
The way I see it you could try a few things.
1. Weight reduction - as you already stated you have taken 40 lbs. out of the car.
2. Gear change - 3.73’s to 4.11’s will reduce ET but could cause more tire spin and show the suspension issues quicker.
3. Better tires - switch to a true bias type tire with a softer sidewall and better traction.
4. Weight transfer - figure out what else you need to do to get the weight off the front tires and onto the back tires.
I hope this helps and as already stated your car is running very well. I look forward to see you get that 10 second run very soon when you get some good air.
Good luck!!!

Wow you’ve gone from wanting to drop 3 tenths to over 1 second! Sounds like you got a good plan laid out so far.
I am hoping to drop down a little more from 10.47 after completing some changes I am working on currently. I want to see what this little 346 CI will do.
Good luck and be safe on your deployment.

That's what I keep telling people, I am only running 390HP and so far my best pass to date was an 11.02@119 last friday. I am very close to hitting 10's right now, changing the rear shocks out for some comp 3-ways to see if that helps
