Nitto's aren't the greatest at the strip. Did you try different air pressure and burnouts to see what they like best? Your car should have some 7.7s-7.8s in it with a good 60ft. Good luck

I had 245/50/16 555r's on my car when it was just bolt ons. I had to do a ridiculous burnout to get them to hook. I went a 1.75 60ft on them. Also I had to launch right above idle, If I tried to stall it up it would blow the tires off everytime

I didn't do a big burn out..18-20 psi.. I brought it up 1500 2000 on converter and nailed it. I haven't run much at the track. Thanks for you guys help. I will try them all and see how it goes next time. I know the big end is there but 60' sucks. lol

I'd try to nail it off idle. You may have to get better tires.

nitto street tires or 555r drag radials? there is a big difference between the 2

as posted above, flash it off idle...my car can dead hook that way but if you run it up on the converter like you did it doesn't shock the suspension as much and plant so it spins

if that still doesn't work, try not just stabbing throttle....roll into it quickly and it might grab

I would assume its the drag nittos? I would think he still wouldn't have a problem hooking with nitto drs considering hes not making a lot of power.

You never know around here...hell half the time people say 555 they really mean 555R. Track could just be ****...I haven't hooked on my ET streets all year due to poor track conditions.

Get it to hook a 1.7 and you will run 11s with that MPH.

They are drag radials. I will try flashing it from idle next time i go to the track or ease into the throttle off idle. I know its driving that is killing the time most likely. I was wondering how everyone else gets these cars off the line. Thanks for ideas.! I would love to go 11.99 if possible but might get close at least with practice. I couldn't get logged in for 2 days so i just made a different profile.

I think the 11'a are possible, let us know what happens as you change things.

Bigger burnout. Launch from an idle and roll on the throttle. Got This time... way better but I'm going to try it again next week. I think it will go 11.9!

That's quite the improvement, congrats!

If you decide to change to M/T or another DR, a 275/40-17 size is sufficient. The wider 315 size is not necessary.

Much better. Yeah you don't need 315 size. IMO it will slow you down. Im still on 275 40 17 all around and my car has no issue hooking.

Much better man!

If you didn't try it last time you might try one pass just nailing WOT off the line instead of rolling into it. Your car has the mph to go even better than 11.9, I could see it going 11.7 if the 60ft came down to 1.7s

Get some video from the side, front, and rear so we can see what it's doing. I'd try 15-16 psi too if you haven't. Heating up the tires too much just brings the oils to the surface and will make them slippery. Usually heating them up until they just start to smoke is plenty.

Sounds like the track wasn't hooking.
