Default 7.05 1/8 mile. Pulled the tires. :) UPDATED

I'm pleased considering it only has 9.5:1 compression. Only got in the one pass. Damn Mustang broke on the track and took an hour to get it off. We left. This is my only pass since I put in the Yank 4000. It's a 383 built for blower hence the low compression. I think it has more left in it. I only left the line at 1950 rpm. I need more passes to figure out how this stall likes to work. I am concerned about the smoke on the shift to 2nd gear. Going to pull plugs and see what they look like. New best 7:05 @95, 1.43 60ft, 7:07@96 1.45 60ft Corvette was the 7:05, Jalopy was the 7:07

60ft was a 1.52
Mph was 94

I don't think there is really much more mph left in it. Maybe 1-2 more mph. Car only makes 412whp. With me in it weight is around 3700-3750. Only weight reduction is removed the spare and jack and the back seats.

I'm shooting for your 60 ft. If I can get it in the 1.4 range I think that I can get the 7.0 range. We'll see.

Get more track time like you mentioned. The smoke on the shift almost looks like fuel. Maybe it was just cleaning the pistons off. Had you had a lot of idle time?

Stay safe and keep having fun! N2

No actually we spent time in the lanes cut off. Had to wait for them to run the Junior Dragsters and slick cars. Ive noticed its had some smoke coming out the breather. Which has me worried its blowby. Looking at the log file it looks a little rich going by the O2 volts. Which I know isnt a real accurate way to determine that. I need to hook up a wideband.

what does your rear end and suspension consist of ?

im currently running Quick performance 9" with 390s and a spool. MWC bent anti roll bar. Founders performance adj LCA & panhard bar. UMI TA, on stock shocks now but im about to switch to Viking coil overs all way around and hopefully chip away at my 60' with that change and some weight reduction. im running the Yank PT4000

Moser 9", 370 gear with Wavetrac. UMI weld-on subframes, UMI Double Adj LCA with Roto Joints, UMI Double Adj Panhard, Viking Coil Overs front and back, BMR torque arm, Definitely get the Vikings. I've not had the chance to make a single adjustment on mine. They come with a paper giving basic settings to start with based on your HP levels. So mine are set there. Next time out I'm gonna start on the first pass by tightening the rebound 2 clicks and just go from there. See how it reacts. Be sweet as hell if just that one change got me a 1.45. LOL.

Are you running a front swaybar? I've seen some guys say they took theirs off. I believe that thing weighs like 30lbs. When I had a Turbo Buick I took the front bar off and it drove fine on the street. Not sure how these cars would drive. My converter is the 4000 SS.

no front sway bar here. ive only got to make two good passes.(4 total)... my 60 in the sig is off idle. i tried 2k twice and the car would hook and jerk the front tires up, but when it came back down it would kick the *** end up and i would spin.
