Default Cam only c5 quarter mile time….a little disappointed…

2001 corvette 6 speed manual. Has a BTR stage 3 cam and headers. Could not keep the car from spinning really bad. Car has 315 pirelli p zero tires on the back that are brand new. This was my first time at the track. Does this trap speed seem about what it should be?? I was pretty disappointed with the time.

here’s a pic of the time slip:

Your trap speed is good for mid 12 second pass. Your 60ft left a lot of time on the table.

alright, just concerned the car isn’t making as much power as it should be with a cam that large.

It's way off. It would easily go faster with bolt ons.

high 11's? You think so? That's sounds to be pushing it a bit in comparison to some of my old numbers when my truck use to run 11's my mph was in the 120's. Mind you I'm turbo tho.

sounds like I have a problem then. So I should be seeing around 120 for my trap speed?

Correct, need real tires also and should be spinning it to probably around 6700 - 7000 rpms

even spinning the mph is pretty low, when my 3400ish lb monte had a stock 02 ls1 with 325whp in it it trapped 88mph, do you have the supporting mods for a cam that big? stock rear gear?
