Default Hi, remember me? 10.349@128.8

Just got back from route 66.

I swapped converters out thursday night( thanks for the fast service Speed Inc)
I went from my TCT 9" nitrous converter to an ATI 8" 5500 stall (5200 actual)
that is the only change I made.

Right off the trailer I made a hit, get to the ET shack and he doesn't have my ticket. He says go the tower and get a copy. I wasn't even gonna go because
my first runs are always slower and I basically use them to warm the fluids
up.I short shift the 1-2 ect.
But I figure I should get it so I know what's happening for future runs.
I about fall over dead when they hand me this slip-

60'- 1.356
330'- 4.179
1/8 6.544
MPH 103.38
1000-8.602
1/4- 10.349
MPH 128.80

DA was +643

I figure I got the record in the bag next run.
no changes tuning wise I get knock retard(WTF)
10.51@127.03(1.353) DA+799

so I add 1 degree of timing and get ALOT more KR.
10.777@122.86(1.364) DA +1004
Car felt really slow.

So I add 2% fuel and pull 2 degrees of timing
10.417@128.32(1.370) DA+1262
I can tell the timing hurt the 60'.

So I add 1 degree of timing.
10.414@128.25(1.359) DA +1655

Car does BIG wheelies now, my madman 'save your *** bars' got a little
scratched up.

Car weighed 2880-2890 every run.Interior is completely intact except for
no passenger seat.

I was hitting the limiter right at the finish line,( 4.57 gear/29x10 slicks)

The funny thing is- I have alot more weight reduction planned

Sweet times man. 1.35 60foots are killer (ATI 8' converters are cool). Madmans save yours *** bars strike again!!!!!

Your car runs pretty much what my car runs. Looks to me, you need to start doing some bracket racing.

I take back my previous statement at 41 that you were slacking Sean. Good job representing Chi-Town.

They didn't install the converter, I just picked it up there.I have to make
appointments like everyone else.

Weight reduction is top secret. But I would like to be 2750ish.

Coach- I do bracket race from time to time.I won North vs. South last year.

Sean That track in Joliet (Route 66)is a beautiful track. I've been there quite a few times for NHRA and Prostar events. The only thing I didn't like was it always seemed to have a stiff cross wind there ...(bad for Top Fuel Motorcycles).
Prostar doesn't run there anymore because the price to rent the track for the weekend is outragous now !
Again congrats on your new best, and good luck in the future with it !

God damn, I can not believe how tight the race is for the top three and how fast the times are!!! This is crazy!!! Another thing that I can't believe is that a 6-speed car is even in the hunt, no less right on ur asses!!! Plus he's got the heaviest race weight out of all of ya!!!! Good job Smokin, keep drivin the **** out of that bitch!!!! I can't wait to see how this all pans out when you guys all get some good weather conditions and max out the cars, I can see low low 10's in ur futures, and I would love to see a high 9 out of one of ya, keep it up!!!

WOW! Nice job. Now I'm going to need a bigger motor to try to keep up with you. Talk to you soon. My car should be out in a week.
