The external oil pump is mounted where the alternator sits from the factory. The pressure line feeds directly into the oil galley in the back of the block(the galley that goes up diagonally from the pan to the lifter galleys) exactly the same as the C5R stuff is setup.

That makes sense, I just figured if you went that far why not dry sump it.
In any case, should be interesting to see.
My Dailey stuff gets here this week and I should be mobile by the first part of June.

And I've also seen big motors spin high and go slow!
Sometimes it seems that some people spin their motors WAY too high to get the hp they get.

I've seen 4.25" strokes spin 8200 rpm's without blinking an eye in a sbc. I forget the bore, but the cubes came to 485 and the builder said he's done even bigger small-block chevies. He says it's more in the build than just the fact that it's a big stroke and traditionally wouldn't sing so high. Oh yeah, the car that motor was in went 5.0's in the 1/8th (southern stuff and that equates to like an 7.8-7.9 in the quarter right?) and it was in a 2800 lb stock suspended mustang so it was definitly making some jam!
