Default New Pb 11.90@ 117.33

New Pb 11.90@ 117.33

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made 1 pass for the day and it was 11.90@117.33 on a 1.709 60'.This was a cold first run for me in about 4 months so I need seatime without problems.
I now know the car is capable of a 11.40 11.50 or so with a couple more passes.
I cut a left rear tire on my second pass that took me out for the rest of the day.My car hooked so hard the tire dissapeared into the wheeelwell so hard it hit the upper inner fenderwell and distorted the outer lip right into the sidewall. This was all done with the same combo I have had for over a year at 4050lb race weight.Mods are in my sig with Bogarts and MT DRs.
Anthony

Time slip:
60' 1.709
330' 4.987
1/8 7.663
MPH 91.83
1000' 9.970
1/4 11.90
MPH 117.33

congrats on the new pb and hitting the 11s.

Damn the car runs the back-half of the track well, and you should have 11.50s or quicker once the car is using all that power down the track. Chopping a tenth or 2 off the 60 foot is the next step.

To be honest I never thought the car would be a mid to lower 11 sec car. When I built it I was building to go 11.80s-90s but never expected this. This is all out of a 220/224 Flowtech cam that gets 28mpg.The car is heavy and I have to work on the suspension a little more to get it out of the 1/8th better.I was spinning 2nd to 3rd wich didn't help,it was a cold track and I was only the 3rd run of the day.

Thanks Jeff. I know it doesn't sound like a lot to the F-Body crowd but I am like # 2 for an 04 Stock shortblock,H/C right now.I think I got the IRS figured out but the car is just too heavy. This is still on the 220/224 FTI cam and untouched AFRs too.Where have you been Jeff? How are things going?

Hey man, Ive seen worse, theres a heads/cam GTO around that just went a high 12.3 @ 112 in the best air weve had all year, with a larger cam. I think for your combo its working pretty good

Our guys took top couple spots in the EFA races, won LS1Tech mod PA class (on voodoo luck ) been doing a lot of racing - you know how competive these guys are. Doing a little bit of cam testing as well, keeping pretty busy. I wish I could play with stuff and learn anything new I can, but gotta pay the bills too lol

Ive got the shop up and doors open, the Mustang dyno should be here in some kinda weeks. Trying to get everything squared away so we can go to the PRI show in a few as well. Stop by and check it out if you ever get bored enough

I totally agree!!! Turns on big time after the 1/8 mile. I 1st looked at mph and your e.t.s and thought you were'nt hooking, but 1.70 is definetly hooking. Curious as why its flying the " back half of the track.....???? you will run a guy down(racing) if he thought he was going ton win!!!

I think the car works best on the back half on that run because I suck at driving#1 and #2 I was spinning 2nd to 3rd after the 60-100ft mark. The car is a brick which doesn't help either.
Thanks for coming in your FREAK Brian. We will do it more often.
