MPH vs. ET question 2 car comparison
My question is how does a car that 60's higher than me trap 6 mph less in the 1/8 and 7mph in the 1/4 with almost matching times? Mine is a nitrous car dual stage 225 A3/4000 stall. His is all motor A4 unspecified stall size with 3.90 gears.

Last fall I ran against a guy with a 408 LS1(2000 SS), I walked him out of the hole, I had him all the way to the 1000' mark. His car had an iron block,12bolt and cage(weight) and he flew by me in the last 320'. 11.2 @ 124 to my 11.6 @117

First of all you are almost 3/10 faster in the 1/4, thats a lot
Since you are running dual stage I would get into the 2nd stage a little quicker and your times should even out some, I would guess the 2nd stage isnt coming on until after the 330' mark. Your strong 1/8mph and 1/4 ET show you are making the power, just not in the first 330' or so.
Also a lot depends on the converter, the C5 probably has a fairly loose but not very efficient converter, good ET and so-so mph is a result. Lot of variables, your car looks good but its missing some down low, get into that second stage a little quicker
