Hawaii race way park......Gen 2 GTS 1997....12.7 at 114 mph..With slicks..12.2 at 116 mph

Gen 2 GTS 1998.....12.8 at 114 mph....


What have you actually seen at the strip ( not herd or read) but seen???

A friend of mine rolled up the day after purchasing his Viper. Set of BFG drag radials and everything else stock. Ran 12.35 at (I think) 118mph. It's been a couple of years since then....kinda foggy on the mph. I know I had him to the 1/8 mile with my 12.50 run and he pulled pretty good from there. lol!

Pretty impressive for bone stock and his first day in the car.

Maryland-based Gen2 (RT10) owner and super-driver known as "Wanted" has run 11.55 @ 120 on stock tires with a K&N air filter and smooth tubes. I saw him run a 3-pass series of 11.59, 11.58, 11.55. In the right hands, a very fast car.

Ranger....I have seen that vehicle of you two..Very impressive times from bothsuper drivers...

Running 11.2 with only DR's at 127 mph is quite a feat....

On the same token.....11.5 at 120 mph with only K and N and smooth tubes on a 10 year older desighned car is also amazing....

the reason Im asking is because I in the process of trading my 378 rwhp and 370 rwt 2004 2.73 geared auto C5 for a stock 99 rt10 Viper...

But I want to be sure Im getting a faster car....

Cant quite afford the C6Z06..So the rt10 is the next best thing in my mind...

ANYWAYS..Any more real life times for these Vipers from anyone...

I've never seen a stock one at the track get below a mid 12, regardless of the year. But for the most part the Viper owners can't drive worth a crap, they just like to pretend they are cool! I would trade though, lots of potential in those things, and it's a freaking VIPER, cool in my book!

My brother-in-law has a RT/10 (450hp version) and his 1st pass down in it (2nd time EVER down the track) he went 12.69 at 114mph. Definately not a good driver. So I'd say 12.1-12.2 with a good driver. -Mark
