I didn't get to see the episode since I don't have speed anymore. Anyone have it on mpeg?
The only thing I'd have to put my .02 on is if it were someone in my family I'd have to give it back. I could never take anything away from my family. Everyone else though, hell yeah

I think the reserve is $42K per the show Tony.
Can't wait to see your next ride Todd, although I have a soft spot for early 1st gen f-bodies, especially Firebirds b/c you don't see them enough. The factory interior and 4-speed just adds to it.
Good luck!

I still think that really sucks about not being able to sale it back to your brother that is one reason me and another guy told Nate no. I wanted the option to buy my car back from the winner if I lost. Matt said if he didn't have the option he would do it either. We know people in Orlando who did that and no Rich and crew say no. It was a GM vs Ford thing.

I really enjoyed watching the races between you and your brother. I think its bad *** to see to manual trans cars run like that.
So what are your plans for your next race car? or are there any?

I really enjoyed the show but i'm not so happy for ya Todd cause someone should buy the car & sell it back to ya buddy cause you're the one who built it so you're the only one who should keep it esp. after seeing the last scene on the incredible vid at 21:36 untill the end , damn Todd your last sight of your beauty '68 Bird leaving away at the track for ever...Hmmm life is tough isn't it !!!
we all proud of ya guys & ya were the best out there
peace

There have been people who have given the cars back right there on the show.
I guess Rich doesn't quite understand what the appeal of the show is. It's not the prize at the end, it's the drama, and intensity of the races the pride that comes along with it.
He's not a racer, so he doesn't understand that even with nothing on the line, nobody wants to lose, and especially to your own brother.

let me tell you this
was just on the show anything they say that is legal and binding and you have to is complete BS...if that was true we would have a lexas with a 2gze supra motor in it siting next to the mustang we one also..
we got stright dicked over by our first appoinent but it happens and Nate did everyting he could,,,Rich got us another race lined up on the spot so we took them on.
so brother be the winning bid the highest...and buy him dinner...
looked to be a badass show some badd *** driving by you two

If the car doesn't hit the reserve price, I guess it won't have to be sold. It is a very nice car, but I don't see someone paying $42K for it. There are 7-second True 10.5 cars that look like showcars selling in that price range, with much more exotic hardware.
But, even if it does sell, $42K isn't anything to complain about. That is quite a bit of cash, and I'm sure his next car will be even better.

A friend of mine just bought a VERY CLEAN 67 Camaro tube chassis 10.5" car rolling for $23K (10 runs on it, and to duplicate this car would cost 60-80 grand IMHO), and the level of detail on this car is amazing, but it might not appeal to someone wanting a stock look outside and in. Todd/Tim's car does that. I love a factory interior (but not the weight that comes with it).
The same rule can apply to someone wanting a late-model Camaro/Firebird. Modding seems to decrease the value to some b/c if they don't like what's done, the option leans towards buying a stock or near stock one and then modding as they seem fit.
Either way, I guess it's all up to someone handing over the cash. And you've seen this, as you change cars like underwear!
