Not bad, I'm waiting to see what mine does with the LT's and tune before I switch the gears (I'm hoping for 12's). Oh, we both have pretty much the same set up as well...

Its not a factory freak.. mine with a lid and TSP rumbler, 2.73's ran 13.43@105.. no tune. I had crap 2.2 60' times too because of the 2.73's. Rather than the 3.42's and DR's I'd put a stall in it with DR's. My car with MT DR's, vig 3600, FLt tranny (stocker started to slip), Speed inc tune and still on 2.73's has gone a best of 12.68@105.

Agreed, my 2000 w/ lid & cut out went 13.285 @ 106+. The DA wasn't as favorable for my pass as it was for him last night. But, I did 60' better. My friend has an 01' 2.73 car... lid, GMMG cat back, decent DA, almost 100K miles: 13.149 @ 107.88 2.054 60' - audiopro <- pulled right from the FL ET list.

Just to let you guys know, when I say 'tuned' I mean Mike just deleted the rear 02's because I have no cats, removed torque management, and he reset the fan temps, that's IT. A VERY BASIC tune.

Is that even considered a tune?

Factory Freak? I'm confused, I thought a factory freak was making it into the 12's. Mine ran 13.2 with just LM and lid; is this considered a factory freak?

I'm talking about my trap speed. Trapping 107.46 is VERY good for a almost stock 2.73 A4 Z28.

Here's some trap speeds from 2.73 cars w/ similar modifications:

ChocoTaco369
2001 Pontiac Firebird Formula A4 GU2
Lid, Cat-back, FTRA, Cutout, Aluminum Driveshaft
Trap Speed: 104.96

Also, whenever I search older posts about 2.73 cars w/ similar modifications, they always seem to trap between 102-104, and only trap between 81-83 in the 1/8 mile, mine traps 85.68 in the 1/8 mile.

Plus when I ran my car the first time a few weeks ago, I was talking to guys w/ LT headers, and Dyno tunes, and there cars were only trapping 106-108, and my car almost stock trapped 106.85 the first time I ever ran it a few weeks ago, and now it traps 107.46.

Also when I was at the track, a very nice black SS Camaro w/ intake, headers, exhaust, and a short shifter was only trapping 106, and it was a 6-speed! I showed him my slip trapping 107.46 almost stock, and he thought it was awesome.

I also talked to another guy at the track with an A4 3.23 Z28 and he said his car only trapped 104 when he ran it with similar modifications to my car.

I’m just VERY proud of my car trapping 107.46 mph with such few modifications, and I was so happy that night that I typed it was a ‘factory freak’. It’s just a GREAT running LS1!

mine did a 13.31 with not a damn thing on it or in it and my 60 was a 1.9 on street tires.
And my rear was only pulling one wheel at the time the rear was blown when I bought the car.

I's say it's a strong. With a 1.9x 60' the car would be in the 12's.

that's a quick car for sure, but i wouldn't dub it a factory freak. my buddy's 00 b4c car went 13.3 @ 105 BONE STOCK as stock can be, with over 135k on the original motor, trans, rear, everything. bear in mind this was in the middle of june with a da of like 2,800' here in central indiana. this was 1 of 14 passes that night (in a 4 hour or so time period). i think your car runs good, but take that b4c car down there and he'd be quicker/faster than you with NOTHING changed except time and location.

factory freak? no...quick car? yes.

Great times for the mods posted. Although I wouldn't call it a factory freak. oh well.

For comparison my car, bone stock, went:
2.1 60'
8.80-84.3
13.3-105.6

2.73 geared car

I remember them days my 2000 Z28 2.73 gears with just a lid went 13.02 at 107 mph with a 2.06 60ft full weight 3750 lbs. Not a factory freak but good times. Next mod would have to be a converter I picked up 5 tenths with a 3200 vig.
