4l65/3.23-th350/3.73 results
my previous best was a 12.2@116 with a 2.0 60'. the old setup was a pro yank 3600 extreme converter, built 4l65, and 3.23 gear. I went out to the track on saturday with the new setup: th350, edge 4000 stall, 3.73 gears and got a new best by .6 seconds. my first pass was an 11.6@117 with a 1.6 60' even with hitting neutral on the 2-3 shift for about 1 second. i ended up with a best mph of 118.53.
the motor is exactly the same except the tune is off now because i changed the injectors and have not fully tuned it. i used the same wheels/tires on both passes.
i have to say i am extremely satisfied with the swap. i cannot say enough good things about this converter from edge.
here are the time slips...

I need to do that TH350 swap in my car that I've been putting off for two years......
To prove my point I've thrown almost 5 grand at 4l60's during this same time period to keep them going just because I wanted a damned 4th gear in my race car. What an idiot I am.

the same type tranny/builder held up to a 10.0@145 in a friend's car and made about 100 other passes on the street. he parted the car out before the tranny blew. tranny was $500 and the converter was $450.

you can do it for under $1200 if you have the hookup on transmissions, use a $450 edge converter, drill stock flexplate holes to 3/4", build your own crossmember, splice speedo and wheel speed sensors(kills abs), use junkyard th350 dipstick and insert heater hose to lengthen, use junkyard trans. lines & cut stock ends off and use rubber hose to connect the two, & use stock driveshaft.

well i am cheap as H E L L so if you want any tips on a cheap way to do a certain part of the swap just pm. most people that get this deep into modding have pockets just as deep. i don't care how deep or shallow my pocket is, every dollar i don't spend is another dollar i don't have to make again before retirement.

who said this couldn't have been done with a 4l60? i know someone here locally doing 1.5x through a 4l60. the point is that the converter/gear/trans swap netted me these gains with the same tires and motor setup(other than injector change).

The th350's 1st gear isn't as steep as the 4l60e so it will require more stall to get the same 60ft.
You did get nice gains, I'm not bashing your decision on the tranny swap or anything, I just think something had to be wrong before if traction wasn't an issue, a 2.0 60ft with the stall(even a tight stall) and that much power just isn't right.
