I'd shift both shifts at 6100. I'd try to verify this. You can spin it higher if you have better valvesprings, and the car will pull to 6300 or so with 918's or even Z06 springs. My guess is that you are short shifting a bit.
You using the MSD box? Any pics?

Does it sound like it's rich or lean? Breaks up thru the exhaust? Try shifting higher for sure, you might be shifting a lot lower than you think you are. I'm thinking you should run 111-113mph what are you shooting for?

I have been having trouble with the carb, it blacks the plugs at idle, but it cleans them up some when i make a pass, I put some 68 jets in it and it would hardly run, hesitated poped real bad, put 72s in it and ran 100 times better, when i went to load up the car it backfired though the carb a few times so i took it off and drove it, but it didnt do it anymore, Maybe the plugs were getting fouled again, i am on the 2nd set, new plugs cleared it up first time when it was poping though carb. Power valve is new, i have messed with
the idle circuit, buterflys, cleaned the carb out about 5 times. bigger squirter,
I just need to figure out how to lean the idle out so it doesnt foul plugs.
110-112 mph would be ok, I just see all these stock internal cars in the 11s, i have a light car,
Let me know if you have any ideas.

Put fuel injection on is my idea haha. I have not so found memories of having a 750 double pumper on the 350 LT1 in my 69 Z/28, ran good wide open but was soggy down low and would foul out plugs. If you could leave in the 1.4's you could run 11's.

I saw in your other thread you posted having 2.5 exhaust through chokemasters?
I'm guessing you run true duals?
I'd try running no exhaust or cutouts to see what happens. Flowmaster mufflers sound cool but unless but most of their models are restrictive.

Dont jet for idle, 72s are probably too small. You may also have to play with the springs on the vacuum chamber to get rid of the hesitation. Also if it backfired hard through the carb a couple times it may have popped the power valve and it will dump a lot of fuel at idle.
If you are looking for best ET I would suggest a four corner idle mechanincal secondary carb. Vac secondary 750 holley carbs arent the best carbs out there but they do work. Best way to tell if your jets are close is to take off the accelerator pump arm and keep jetting up untill the car just barely hesitates cracking the throttle with no accelerator pump when warm in nuetral. Then run close to that jet on all four corners, its the easiest way to start on an unknown combo..
Good luck with it, nothing wrong with a LS1 'bu wagon

Thanks, I changed the springs a few different times at the track they all ran pretty close to the same.plugs look about right after a pass with the 72s,i need to get rid of the metering block so i can change jets in secondaries, I like 750 vac`s had one on my nova that ran 10.50s at 130

Definate agreement on the double pumper carb. 12.44 at 106 mph isn't off if you're using all the power, as my Nova with an old 350 combo ran 12.30s at 107 mph with a 1.66 60 foot. I agree it should be pulling to a higher rpm (unless the tach is reading low).
Good luck, and tuning to get the best from it is a part of the game!
