Default LS1 time slip...seems wayyyy too slow

went to the track the other night and put in 5 runs...spaced um out a bit...but the best two times i could run was a 13.95 at 99.87 with a .083 reaction and a 2.12 60'.......the faster time was a 13.8 @ 99.97 mph with a .214 reaction and a 2.04 60'....i just don't understand....the car itself is pretty much stock, just exhaust...and its a auto....it launched hard and didn't spin but i felt like she should have had more....any opinions...driver mod maybe??

Whats the altitude of the track? Was it a pretty warm day?
Do you have 2.73 gears?
If you have 2.73 gears, ran on a warm day and at a track a couple of thousand feet above sea level with a 2.04 60' your 13.8 time is about right for a '99 LS-1.

He has a huge gear advantage to you. 2.73<3.42
I would bet his 60' is alittle better.

11 at night, it could have been humid out which will hurt your times also.

Your trap speed is a little low but i think the ET is pretty good considering the humidity and the 2.73's.

fastest 1/8 was 8.97@ 80 mph....I honestly don't even know what a good base 1/8 is for a LS1...so any thoughts on those numbers is greatly appreciated. thanks

Mine's a '99 A4 2.73 just a catback and I ran 9.0 @ 82 w/ a 2.0 60' in the 1/8th. Haven't run 1/4 mile. So thats pretty similar. I thought mine was pretty weak too though. Those 2.73's are killin us down the stretch! Maybe our cars will just be "late bloomers" and really come into their own with mods lol.

Mines a 3.23 geared car and with it bone stock the best i could get was an 8.74 @ 84 which i thought was pretty good being stock.

99 WS6 here. With just a lid ran a
Reaction = .7709
60' = 2.01
1/8 ET = 8.57
1/8 MPH = 84.19
1/4 ET = 13.25
1/4 MPH = 104.97

I've got 3.23 gears and an a4 thats broken now. Running on tires that barely hooked.

I'm in NC and it was ***** hot outside the day I ran it.

Usually, temp, track prep, sea level and drivermodd. I've had days where I can't seem to do anything right. Just keep trying.

weird, I ran a best of 8.59 in the 1/8 @ 86mph. A4, 3.23 gears, good traction, lid and magnaflow catback.

Best quarter mile was 13.1 @ 105mph. It was cold as hell(40 degrees) and awesome track prep that night too.

Not waayyy slow, but your MPH is a lil low. Those 2.73's aren't helpin ya though, did you weigh the car? If so what is the weight with you in it?

Forgot to mention I ran both of those times with the jack and spare out, and about 2 gallons of gas in the tank. I'm also running the stock 16" wheels, if you have some bigger, heavier aftermarket ones could slow you way down.
