Default Any 224 Cam & A4 Guys....Get in here !!

ok guys lets cut it to the chase right here and right now !! I want to know what ET are you guys turning with the TR224 ,TSP 224 or any other 224 cam ? I just purchase a TSP 224/224 .566/.566 115 cam and I can't wait to install it and have it tuned and take it to the track.

My goal is 11.8's full weight cam-only. But I want to see what others have turned with this cam on stock heads and aftermarket heads such as TEA's 1.5 5.3L Heads or PRC 2.5 5.3L Heads.

Now weather you are only running a mid 12 ,fine posted it anyway. I want to know. I'm so tired of seeing guys post a book on thier mods and how much hp it made on a dyno and never post thier ET's !! I'm not trying to be the fastest at all. Those days are behind me , but I do like to have a little grunt when I'm ready to run on some Friday night Street nights at my local track.

Please post if you have the following :

-224 cam with stock heads , full weight, stall and your ET/MPH
-224 cam with TEA's 1.5 5.3L or PRC's 2.5 5.3L,stall and your ET/MPH
-224 cam lightweight car with a big stall

also specify the lift too. some are 563 to 581.

I've done alot of searches on this and only few have really posted anything about thier ET's. Everyone agrees it's a great DD cam and thats what I want and I'm sure alot of people on here do.

Also M6 Guys......Please stand aside on this one. This strictly for any A4 guys out there with this cam . Please understand ,I'm not trying to be an *** ,I just want to get some real numbers to go with the mods and this camshaft.

this post will hopefully tell all thats needed to know about the 224 camshaft and it's track manners . let the fun begin !!

Thanks NHRAFormula00 !! Those are the kinda numbers I'm looking for . 11.4's/117mph in great air sounds good to me. I see you have really stepped it since then.

I was like that with my 93 Z. Now since I don't have the time to go to the track all the time, I'm in the process of selling it. My ol' 93 ran 11.1's /120 mph NA . Not bad for an ol' LT1 355 .

So now ,I'm getting the itch for the LS1 ,but I want to keep very streetable and I know this camshaft (224/224) is a great DD from what I've read over the years. If I can hit 11.8's with it full weight with stock heads......I'll be happy . If I want to get faster , I do have a spohn k-member ,lt. weight battery , and a set of skinnies just waiting to go on the car this fall or next season. I'm not going to gut my car at all . Thanks again for your input NHRAFormula.

I consistently run 12 teens, and usually trap @ 110 to112mph. I am running a TR 224/224 .581/.581 114+4 LSA. Stock heads, full weight. 3:73's, 3500 stall. Hope this helps.

what do you guys think about Livernois Motorsports LS1/LS6 243 casting stage 1 heads and a 224 cam with .566 lift ? i read up on them and it seems like the 2 would be a solid mild ,but very powerful combo .

any with any hands on with Livernois heads or Cartex Stage 2 heads ??? i'm really starting to consider them over the TEA's and the PRC's 5.3's I was looking at. anyone with any input on the LM 243 heads ???
