Results page shows he went 10.64 @ 144 in qualifying and it does not have any time for him posted in the first round race. Doesn't sound like they were able to make a clean hit.

I'm going back tomorrow, there are a ton of cars there. I saw Amber and Joe's trailer but did not meet up with them.

wow... yeah they are gonna have to figure something out. Even their mph sucks bad. You would think with GM behind you, itd be possible to make it run right.

I talked to Robin he ran an easy 10 second pass on motor but later broke something small but not something he could fix at the track.

Gator, most of those cars would probably run 10's with out there power adders.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken the nitrous cars have to run like a minimum of a 400 shot. Don't quote me. I still can't believe a 750hp motor (which this was when I saw the dyno sheet posted) should still run quite a bit better then 10s, especially in a 2800 lb car even going easy.

Try 900hp sans juice spraying around 600 to be competitive in that class.

if the runs were like the video, he was letting out for a good bit and getting back on it, for the car to run mid 10's like that tells me it's got 9's on motor no problem once it's sorted out, then add another 500+ of juice on top of that..... should be intresting.

Actually they can only run a 32 jet(around 250hp) ,so they are actually limited to how much nitrous they can spray.
I hope they get it straightened out, I would like to see what that LSX can do!

I'm sure the Nova will eventually run low 9's or faster on motor.

Guys

The Superbowl at RT 66 was the debut of the Nova. We have thrashed on the car for the past 6 months. Our program is one of development. We are working with many people in regard to our LSX program.

The passes at Joliet were the first down the track. We had made several first gear hits on Monday at Cordova but none past the 330.

For the shakedown runs I shifted at 7600. Just enough to lock up the clutch and enough to be sure the car went straight. We aligned the front end on Thursday in the pits.

Our minumum weight for the Nova is 2725. It had been 2800 but the small blocks and earlier than 1974 cars got a total of 75 weight break.
The Nova weighs 3050 pounds. We will now work on getting the weight out. I can see 150 but 300 pounds is a lot.

We are allowed a .048 Jet with our small block. That is a big shot and I don't think we will need to use that. I sprayed a .032 jet in testing at Cordova. We will have the .042 Jet in when we get back to testing.

The car was set up for Nitrous and I wanted to make a clean motor pass before we sprayed it. That never happened.

It should be an easy fix. I am anxious to get back to testing.

Thanks

Robin

E.T is not everything, look at the 144mph, that tells the HP in the car. On a good hit that is 9.30 mph.
