Default 402rwhp/367rwtq = 11.51 @ 116.59

Made a couple mid 11.50 runs this week in my 2000 SS. Stock weight with converters and Magnaflow catback and drag wheels/tires.

All I can say is the Yank 4000SS suited my car perfectly. Was previously running a Yank PY3400 in the car which was completely wrong for my combo.

The Yank 4000SS picked me .660 over the Yank PY3400.

Combo is mild LS1 with AFR 205's, 224/230 Comp XER, Kooks 1 7/8 tube, Fast 90/90, A4, Ford 3.70 9", and Magnaflow cat back.

Went 11.51 @ 116.59 1/4
60' - 1.575
330' - 4.663
660' - 7.295
660' MPH - 93.25
1000' - 9.578

Shift points were set @ 6100. Went to raise them to 6450 and make another hit and it started to drizzle so they called it for the evening. Thinking I can get into the mid 40's next time out

Nice runs, too bad it started raining cause I'm pretty sure the car will pick up with the higher shift points.

Great time especially for the low shiftpoints! Do you have a built trans in the car?

man that 9 inch is killing your weight, they are heavy sobs. i bet you should but in the low 11s, that seems to be a baby cam, but nice runs nonetheless. that seems like quite a bit of work to me and only having 402 rwhp? ive seen cars with heads and cam making over 450 to the wheels, even on a mustang dyno.

Yep, I hoped for 450 to the wheels just like everybody else, but it ain't happening here! To justify the numbers slightly, my converter was unlocked. Nonetheless - 11.50's in the 1/4 @ 3700lbs ain't too shabby for a 346 with 224/230 cam and some low 6100 RPM shift points.

Congrats! There's more in it, believe me. My car makes almost the same exact power, I'm shooting for 10's this year.

Good answer. As long as the track times/results are there, who cares what the dyno says. Id rather have that power and run mid 11's than have a dyno tell me i'm making 450+ hp and only run high 11's

You should pick up a couple tenths with 6500rpm shiftpoints

Damn, bottom 11's is movin for 400RWHP. I don't think I am going to pick up a whole lot more, maybe a .1 or maybe .2 tops. We'll see tomorrow night!

Isn't that the truth.

Good results!

Making 450 to the wheels is a hell of a challenge for an auto car with built tranny, converter and 9"
