New Personal Best!!!!
Hey guys! I made a post a few weeks ago explaining the results of my first time to the track in this car. I felt like the DR's were a waste of time on a stock car, and that I left alot on the table with street tires. I was right.
After a few passes, I got a new personal best. Details: Bone stock car down to the paper air filter, 1/4 tank of gas, full weight (left jack and spare in, floor mats in, etc). Launch technique was a 1500rpm brake stall, rolling quickly into the throttle on the third yellow light. Breakdown of the slip:
R/T: .089
60': 1.982
330: 5.605
1/8: 8.546
mph: 83.58
1000: 11.096
1/4: 13.256
mph: 104.47
The trap seems like it's right where it should be. Only thing changed since last time is the dealership replaced the stock cats since it was throwing a code. All in all, I'm very pleased with the results, that's better than I expected to get with the car being completely stock. I plan on putting some bolt-ons on over the winter, and breaking the 12's in the spring.

Wish mine would've 60' that. Looks like we ran about the same. I ran right at 84mph in the 1/8 but only pulled an 8.74 bc of the horrible 60'. Good deal man now do some mods atleast the free ones.

Congratulations! What was your best before this? Just keep at it and yes, the 12s will be quick! I'm guessing a new converter will make it happen for you!
Good luck!!!

Thank you! My first time out, I went 13.7 on street tires with a 2.2 60', and 13.5 on dr's with a 2.0 60'. I was determined to get a 2.0 60' on street tires, especially since the car pretty much just bogs with the dr's. I think I'm going to start with just the basic easy bolt ons (lid, filter, free ram air, p&p tb, underdrive pulley, LT's, cat-back, etc). Once I get all of the bolt-ons, I'll probably do gears and a stall. I'd like to see if I can get 11's full weight with only bolt-ons. After that, I'd like to do head's and cam. We'll see how much my budget allows, it's tough to mod supporting a family with 2 kids.
