Now im NHRA/IHRA legal(roll bar came today)
just got my wolfe 5point chromemoly cage with swing out from ragin motorsports today. Shippin weight was 60pounds. Now i just gotta paint the cage and weld the sucker in Bring on that NHRA rule for all t top cars now
I know 60 pounds doesnt seem like much weight, but man is this thing heavy!

the 5 point is legal,the swingout is questionable.
if the nhra tech guy is ****,the swingout could make you fail.

Direct quote from NHRA Rule book article 4:10 Roll Bars:
"Swing out side bar permitted" and "Swing out side bar permitted on OEM full body car 7.50 e.t. and slower.
Then in article 4:11 the rule book specifically states how to build a swing out.

sorry,don t have the newest version of the rulebook.
i was told this by a tech guy at Atco NJ (not that his word is god) i just never researched it much more.

Dirk, just so I can take the damn thing out for long trips and etc. Plus with it out im 6 pounds lighter LMAO
my cousin has a tig welder so im gonna get him to slap her in later this year. I want to try and get one decent pass in without 60 pounds of extra weight.. hell the car might not even run below 11.49 LMAO

Hell yeah I got a swing out. My fat *** dont go over the bar well.
thats why i said I gotta get a swing out.. im skinny, but my 5ft long legs cant bend enough to get into the car

racinlt1, how often do you come up to atco? i live right there in marlton and i go with my school, our autoshop teacher started a club called CHRA(pun on NHRA) and we built a low 10sec 76 camaro, i havent gone to race my car yet, id like to see ur car run sometime!

Cowboy,i dont go that often. Atco tech guys seem to HATE DE cars. they bust our nuts everytime we go. if i trailer the car in,it's 10x worse.
