Default Strange vs. QA1's

What's the difference b/w these two coil overs, other than price?

Stranges have better quality IMO and you can also 'feel' the adjustments like daniel said.

Not trying call yea out, but I did look at your site, I guess you sell only Strange shocks for 4th gen cars!?

What makes them better, please explain and I would like a personal exp.

I have had personal exp with Qa1's and I will be in the market for this car a new set of shocks. So I have some deciding between Strange, AFCO, and QA1

Help me out here.

We sell both brands and the strange shocks are a better deal. QA1's are also a very good shock but its seems that the strange last a little longer before needing to be rebuilt.

Lets say my car.

3800ish pounds
Street driven 98%
When at the track I launch off the limiter with a bias-ply slick.

How much time are we talking here? I put anywhere between 7k to 10k on the car per year.

I've had the qa1's on my car for 2 years now, over 200 track passes and no problems yet.

I do want to go to afco's, but mainly for the double adjustable upgrade.

We do sell both, we also sell AFCO's and Santuff's if needed. We're only a 3 and 1/2 person shop and we do our own site so its sometimes hard to find the time to add to it... though we definitely need to. I thought we had the QA1 stuff on there for the F-bodies... we do for the other cars. Thanks. The Strange's have a larger shaft diameter compared to the QA1's which may be why QA1's need rebuilding more often. Also when adjusting the double adjustable QA1's we notice there's not much difference in both ends of the adjustment spectrum that makes differences. We've been doing a lot of testing (on a few G-body's) w/ both and the one w/ Strange DA's we notice more of a difference 'per click' than the QA1's and the car w/ QA1's has had to have them rebuilt because they were leaking. With all that said though, both cars seem to be performing well (1.24 60 ft on 315's BB car and 1.300 60 ft on 275's SB on 1 plate). There... explained and w/ personal exp.

strange might have an adjustment from 0=80
while qa1 only adjust 20-60 if you get what im sayin...

strange show more of a range for adjustment...and are better quality...everyone gets qa1 cause they are cheap...
