Take a look at Burkhart Chassis website. They have a tubular support that is very light weight.

The pic provided isn't a good example. There's been some hacking done on the front end of that car. It is a full out race car and they don't really care whether it sags at the end of the track or not.

there is no way the z is ever gonna go that fast to need a parachute, but it does look funny.
btw it will go 124-128mph anyone else with no support.I plan on takin out the front and rear support, heat shields, windshield coolant, sway bar mounts, maybe horn.I hope I can lose 50lbs and I will be adding a ported tb.It should break 12.5's,stock stall,2.73

Sounds efficient. I went a different way the first time. Gears/stall/tire. Left the motor alone and managed 12.2X@108 w/ a 1.62 short times. Everyone was always amazed that a lid muffler car could move like that showing up to the track 100% stock looking down to the ugly snowflakes with no weight reduction.

I bought the burkhart one just so that picture above won't happen.

That happens at about 100 mph if you could see the front of the car, think of it like this, that car already has the chute out, so it's well down already on speed, and the nose is still buckled like that.

I would put something in there, or that is gonna happen, and then the cracks start.....

I left all the lower plastic in to hold the bose in proper form as well in the corners, not sure if it's needed or not though.

you guys know the bumper dosnt care if your on the street going 120+ or on a reacetrack. Its funny you say thats a race cars, and you have a street car so its ok.

I think it looks hack when a nose flexes out.

Personally if its street driven, I wouldnt pull the support.

I would pull the factory support on a street car, but I would absolutely put the burkhart one in it's place. Hell I did it with my race car.

I am not as fast as what your looking for but I did notice that if I strapped down the outer corners and tied them in that most of the flex I had when pushing on mine was gone, and I have not yet seen anything flex at over 120 MPH...

I know mine with the lower plastic in place, and the burkhart piece at 142 isn't moving at all.
