Default Good night of racing, and a mild heartbreaker at the end

Now that the car is all together I finally had a chance to field it in tonights Real Street 10.0 Index class here. I guess you could say I stormed the class with a vengance and qualified #1. It was a great time and a friend managed to video tape all but my first round of qualifying. Here's the timeslip info:

1st Round Qualifying:
60' - 1.474
1/8 - 6.400 @ 110.28
1/4 - 9.965 @ 136.86

2nd Round Qualifying:
60' - 1.534
1/8 - 6.470 @ 110.48
1/4 - 10.033 @ 134.99 (I lifted at the last cone)

1st Round Elminations:
RT - .502
60' - 1.486
1/8 - 6.449 @ 109.22
1/4 - 10.053 @ 132.02 (lifted just a bit)

2nd Round Eliminations
Bye Run, not worth mentioning

3rd Round Eliminations
RT - .468
60' - 1.438
1/8 - 6.370 @ 109.78
1/4 - 10.258 @ 112.21 (lifted A LOT)

Final Round
RT - .475 | .499
60' - 1.407 | 1.490
1/8 - 6.329 @ 110.75 | 6.574 @ 107.47
1/4 - 9.994 @ 122.83 | 10.236 @ 133.49

I couldn't see him and I didn't want to slam on the brakes. I lifted just a smidge, but should have waited just a touch longer. Oh well!

Enjoy the video of all but the very first round of qualifying for me. This is not dial up friendly, about 10Mb. I didn't get any video of anyone else unfortunately.

He's letting off thus dropping the MPH. Nice runs. I hope my rossler has similer results.

The Rossler and the Neal Chance converter are extremely smooth and it hits like a freight train out of the hole.

So the deal with the 60's and the MPH is this. I run a time delay off the brake to hold the car back. I only take the delay off when I know I'm running a car that is as fast or faster and I'll play on the big end. The 9.994 pass I actually let out and got back into it. I couldn't see him and didn't want to hit the brakes and watch him fly by. Oh well I guess, not bad for the first real showing.

Not many changes since Bowling Green except with the addition of the TH400 and lightweight brakes. I added a Nitrous Express fogger to it and I'm only spraying 200 at it. Every full pass off the trailer this year has been a 9 something with it. I haven't had the chance to really run it ***** out since I delay off the brake and lift on the big end. This setup does a phenominal job running these ET's, I'm very impressed.

Now it's time to put the Thunder tune into the car and hire a skinny midget with an NHRA license to drive the car.
