Default Tire screw 60ft question!

I am only able to manage a 1.45ish 60ft. Without gtting into details of my car......I am spinning the wheel in the tire about 3-4" a pass. If I got screws would it leave harder?

I don't know what wheels and tires you have, but I run Hooiser 29x10.5W's and they don't budge. I launch between 3500 and 4500, and have gone 1.30 60' with the back tires.

Regardless of that, the car SHOULD 60' better if the tires are not spinning on the wheels.

Also intrested in the tire combo, i'm running M/T stiff sidewall 10.5's(with screws) and getting 1.44 60's on a 10.5 pass. Never had any traction problems.

I HAD those slicks and they didn't work for my car.....but every car is different. Mine spun with those.

Only if you are spinning the rim inside the tire which you say that you are so yeah I think it'll help...

The car is mini-tubbed and I have a 4.5" backspace wheel. The rear bumper cover was also trimmed to allow for the growth of the tire. With the Wolfe adjustable LCA's I was able to center the wheel in the opening and keep it from rubbing.

I would definately screw them.
BTW, I fit 30x10.5 Hoosier radial slicks with stock length rear and 15x10 7.5 bs welds.
No mini tubs, no problem

Could this be slowing me down a whole 1/10 or more??? I got a **** load of money in my suspension and seem to have it PRETTY CLOSE to dialed in and I figure that inital "jolt" that my tires miss is slowing me down big through 60'.

Screw them or beadlock them. If it consistently does it you will do better with the tires locked in place.
