Anyone With Experiece with Comp Eng 3-way Adj Rear Shocks?
hey i just bought a set of 3 way adj competition engineering shocks along with the pro-stars i just bought and was wondering if anyone has experience with them? the guy said they were set on the hardest setting then one of my genious friends messed with it and now i dont know what setting they are on. Anyone know and easy way to tell? i know u have to compress them then they click but i can only get them to click 2 times and cant figure out which setting they are on.
I also want to set this up on the hardest setting, that would be the 50/50 correct? the choices are 50/50 40/60 or 30/70.
here is the shock from jegs.

It should be explained in the instructions. Compress the shock fully and rotate the piston side counterclockwise (looking down on top of the piston) several times to free up the adjuster. Then rotate slowly clockwise and the first click/notch in 50/50, the second click/notch in 60/40, and the last click/notch is 70/30. The notches are marked on the shock body with a different letter; I can't remember what each one is.

The CE 3 way adj. rear shocks can be set at 30/70, 40/60 or 50/50. Ratios represents the force required to compress and extend the shocks. The first number is compession and the second extension. FYI, 30/70 would be the firmest and 50/50 would be softest. Hope this help.

"Ratios represents the force required to compress and extend the shocks"
"FYI, 30/70 would be the firmest"
How is 30% force harder/firmer than 50% force??
50/50 is firmest compression/rebound.
40/60 is softer compression/harder rebound.
30/70 is softest compression/hardest rebound.

NO, you have that backwards. Read your statement again.

FWIW I used the 40/60 setting, good enough for 1.23 60 foots..

Alright, looks like i'm back to 50/50 haha. I just don't understand what the XF, F and R stand for. I figures XF would stand for Xtra-Firm which on the card i have that i got with the shocks says XF is 30/70 then F (i figured would stand for Firm) is 40/60, and R (Regular?) is 50/50....... I'm lost lol
