slamming a car with 29.5 10.5s
what all is needed to get a car lowered over a 29.5 10.5s?
i've got to get the rear of the car as low as pacos car since i have 2" dropp spindles up front and im trying to decide what tire to use
if i can just mini tub without moving shocks, LCA or any suspension points ill do it but i dont want to move suspension points.

I used minitubs and wolfes adjustable spring perches. My LCAs are offset inside.
I can get a 29.5W under mine. The lower the rear of the car, the more of the tunnel has to get cut out. I have a narrowed 9in with 10in wheels and 5in bs.

well heres the way my car is. mini tub(but with full tub specs just the frame rails and everything are in stock point) my spring cups in the back have been cut out moved up 2 inches and reinforced and i cut and moved over the the panhard bar but i really didnt have to but i did it just for a little extra clearance. then the front has 2 inch drop spindles. right there the car has a permenent 2 inch drop and then i can drop it another 2 inches with the afco coilovers if i wanted to. im on a 29x11.5 tire with a 10.5 rim with 4.5" backspacing and my rear is shortened 3.5" on each side. any of you guys that are going to be at the drag expo in schaumburg will more then likely see the car if plans go accordinly. props to burkhart chassis for all the help!

Mini tubbing will be a good start. Then prepare to notch the trans tunnel for torque arm clearance, trim the bumper cover for tire clearance, and also get LCA relocation brackets to make sure the LCA is closer to the ground at the axle mounting point than at the mounting point to the car.
I tried to get away without the relocation brackets and lost .05 to .08 on my 60'.
All that enables me to make the tire (29x10.5W on a 10" wheel) touch the top of the tub.

It is not slammed in these pics, but that is about as low as I found would work at the track before relocating the LCA's.
The tubs I used were from the Wolfe kit, as were the adjustable rear springs. Both work well and were worth the money.

what mini tubs did you use and what other parts did you have to use to fit the tire that far inside and low?
offset Lower CA? did you move spring perches? or go to coilovers?
i want to have stock mounting points for everything or its not going to work for me.

Mine has 10.5" X 30" rear tires and 27" fronts, with Wolf adjustable upper rear spring mounts and QA1 Rs on the front. I can easily get it lower than this picture, but it gets harder to get in and out of the trailer. I have BMR lower control arms, spaced to the inside of the brackets and mini-tubs. Mine is the black car, about half way down the page. The rear end is narrowed 3" on each side. The other Firebird (red & white Lucus car) below mine is a really nice car. Big tubs, big tires and a 4 link, etc.

afcos are the only coil over for serious racing lol! best in my opinion. the drop spindles are custom from burkhart they currently arent on the car because they are doing a 25.5 in my car. but take a look at their website and look at dave hartmans red 25.5 camaro and thats basically what i have. not sure if he has the drop spindles on his car but mine will have them. the only pics i have of it show the back tire mached up with the tubs cut out. like isaid take a look at hartmans car and you'll get an idea of the tubs, cage, and how the car sits.

Also, that is a 29x10.5W tire, so it would not fit without a mini-tub job, unless you did the old "North Jersey" backhalf job with the tires hanging out of the opening and the rear end jacked way up to clear it.

No, actually Chicago. But I saw that on a Malibu website once and thought it was funny! Seems a few of those G-Body guys think air shocks and a shallow offset wheel can fix just about any traction issue.
