It would be preferrable to get a narrowed rear and a nice deeper dish wheel in there (looks so much better) and sounds like he has a plan to do some sort of package for you like that, just food for thought. You can always sell those rims you bought if thats the route your going to take.
I will stick with a 26" tire then.

thats what i would do too with the stock rear...if you go 12 bolt or beefier than change the gear...
