vette if you knew something it would be a miracle what is the difference between a torque arm moved and a shock moved? why do c5 guys minitub their vettes. they do it for a wider tire and to slam that car down it is for looks cant people get that thru their numb-skulls if you have 28 w 10'5s and a torque arm run it the whole theory between this stock susp was to keep stock blocks. the ARE car has done one of the two. madman is 0 for 2

I understand that they might not conform to this rule. What I'm wondering is why that rule exists in the first place. If you want stock suspension, the the damn torque arm should be on the tranny, period. And unless I'm not seeing something right, that Afco shock isn't mounted the exact same way a stock one is. If you can't name what advantage is given by relocating lower control arms and shocks, then who can? And if there is no advantage, why is the rule there?

Bring the car down for the TR shoot out.To Hell with the "big dog" race. You guys could have a grudge race during qualifying for that matter. The biggest concern is getting all the fast 4 gens in one place at the same time. Madman, you want some of that silver car or what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It's just that simple, DO YOU GUYS WANT TO SETTLE THIS OR NOT? WHOS GOT IT, AND WHO DID'NT BRING ENOUGH?

ARE nice trick with the sway bar , VERY Nice , very slick .... funny thing is i see nothing mentioned about it , everyone is worried about the shocks and springs .... if i were them they better look at the sway bar and the mounting points and put 2 and 2 together , im not gonna babysit and explain and get people mad at me ..... i just wish we could get some "SET IN STONE" solid rules , so we could know which way to go , will 2 torq arms and 4 link anti-rolls be legal ?????? god i hope so , i would love that , but we need to get all the guys together and make some base rules , Us SBC guys arent allowed to run the LS1tech series and thats ok , but us F-body racers need to get together and make some rules for what exactley is stock suspended

Torque arms front mount must have only one attachment point.Rear frame rail allowed a MINITUB to clear tire.
now if this is not building rules to your own car then i dont know what is!!!!

Yes BaddMood my car does have minitubs. Although you are a little late on the conspiracy theory. That was discussed about 200 posts ago.

Actually FORD sells them, they come off of a fox body mustang. Actually a non stock front mount t/a is legal in any sanctioning body.

Minitubbing has nothing to do with mounting locations on suspension pieces. You can mini tub the car and not move anything. The mustang mount still bolts to the factory shock mount on the rear. So the factory bolt hole is still used. It's the same as having an adjustable TA with hiem joints instead of a solid piece.
